Lie495s14
Understood. That is why I'm leaning towards getting the coilovers... instead of paying someone to remove the H & R's and re0install OEM. Hopefully someone will be interested in the H & R's since they are already compressed. I hate no clue what you mean by seting preload? Sorry... My last car was an Infiniti. Preload is when coilover setting on the floor, how much you make the spring teighter, determines your preload.
subiedude
Thanks... (starting to get it). But with 32 levels of dampening (like on the MR coilovers) I guess there is a fine line to get the optimal balance between preload, height, and dampening? Lie495s14
Thanks... (starting to get it). But with 32 levels of dampening (like on the MR coilovers) I guess there is a fine line to get the optimal balance between preload, height, and dampening? I don't know exactly what role does repload play when comes to dampening. But It is a must to have some to elimanate spring free play. So i set the preload 50lb in the front, and 75lb in the rear, which i was told by keefe, he's the master, and i'm very happy with the settings. Here are settings for lb to cm. Front Rear Spring rate (lb/in) or (kg/mm) : (336lb/in)or(6kg/mm) (448lb/in)or(8kg/mm) Preload of (25lb) or (11.3kg) : (1.9mm) (1.4mm) Preload of (50lb) or (22.7kg) : (3.8mm) (2.8mm) Preload of (75lb) or (34 kg ) : (5.7mm) (4.3mm) Preload of (100lb)or (45.4kg) : (7.6mm) (5.7mm) Preload of (125lb)or (56.7kg) : (9.5mm) (7.1mm)
