Artizan
So I want to paint the grill into body color. A shop told me it can be done, not expensively, but because of this chrome material, it will flake sooner or later. If somebody painted theirs, and had it for a while with no issues, how did you prep it?
DougKelly20
I had mine painted by a body shop but it's only been a few hundred miles so far. I tried it myself with trim paint and was able to rub it right off while waxing it, which is why I had the shop do it. Looks great, so far so good. I'll post an update of I see it flake. Febreze Mee
I'm assuming you have the factory grill, and you want to get rid of the chrome. If not, check this out: https://www.subaruforester.org/threads/color-code-for-exterior-trim-grill-c-pillars-mirrors-hatch-trim.303961/ MILKRUN - Click Here
