True I dont know how much mud they guard but I think as a styling item the look good.
True...they do look good. But interms of acting like a mud gaurd. The would rank somewhere between a post-it note and cardboard interms of abilty to protect the side of the car. :D

I have the sport or areo splash guards on my WRX. They look cool. They do keep some crap off the car, but not much. Look at it this way...they look cool and they are better than having nothing at all. I have the classic ones on my Legacy and they do a better job at keeping crap off the car.

$289??? no offense but that's really ridiculous! i've had my black car for only a few days and the bottom is all white cuz of the damn salt! i know, i know, the downside to having a black car...
$289??? no offense but that's really ridiculous!
can you guys really name 1 product for the LGT that IS reasonably priced? Haggling prices that are set by the japanese distributors is worthless unless theres somekind of group buy that would make it profitable for the US importer. If you want to whine about it, go to nasioc.

Hi all - Following up on our earlier post - we do have the Legacy mudflap kit complete, it includes four urethane mudflaps with Subaru mounting hardware for $99.00. We use 1/8" urethane just as we would with a rally car build. Here's a photo of the right front, looking back to show the shape of the flap. The front mounts with two Subaru bolts and speed clips, and one retaining screw. The rear uses two Subaru bolt / speed clips. They do a good job of reducing spray on the side of the car. Currently, due to our volume on the WRX the production is about two weeks behind, but we're looking for a company to water jet the flaps for us - hopefully we can keep the price the same. <edit> Wow - that picture came out a bit dark, we'll post more shortly Regards, Ken Rally Performance
Here's pics of my JDM ones from King of Imports installed:
lookin good. sooo... it was $289 for just the parts and you had to get it installed/install them yourself, right? do they work? idk if i can justify 3 bills for flaps that don't really do their job. if they don't work and if my bf can't install them himself (should be easy right?) then another x amount of dollars for labor charge is a waste.

It has nothing to do with being a girl or not....i have complete confidence that my GF who very similar knows nothing about cars could be able to follow directions and screw in a couple screws. I am not harping anyone on that, i am just saying that there is no need to PAY someone to do this, its not like its anything complicated at all. You can't complain either when you want to get all this stuff done right away on a car which the aftermarket is expensive for right now. A ski rack will set you back that amount anyway, unless you go with a cheap one, but Thule and Yakima, that pretty much an expected price. Aside from the clear-bra as well, everything else is still expensive simply because the car is so new. If you wait a while and take the car how it is, you will be able to get all this done cheaper later. You can't get pissed when you want to do all these changes and its expensive simply because aftermarket supply and demand hasn't caught up yet. I would hope if your boyfriend has all these plans for your car that he would help pay for them. I mean do you really need a tail light mod or a strut bar...the driveability of the car will only be slightly affected by the strut bar and not at all by the tail lights. I am not trying to get on you or anything and appologize if i come across that way, just if things are too expensive, wait. It will get cheaper. Parts were expensive for the WRX when it first came out too don't forget.
