I just noticed that the gap in my car is back as well. -
Yup! I was skeptical at first, but I figured that I would try it anyways. 1 bungie cord and 2 zip ties later...no more wind noise.

Wrap a bungie cord around the front cross bar, that will greatly help diminish the wind noise. I have a roof mounted Thule bike rack on my WRX and the wind noise was unbearable before I did the bungie cord mod.

My wife is usually driving our 2.5i, but if you guys wave, she'll wave back. She's been around Scoobys long enough that she knows the drill. I'm in Mt. Kisco all the time. I'll have to look for Val and Subiecity.

I have a squeaky driver seat too. The last time I brought the car in, my dealer lubricated the rails. It helped a bit, but it's still squeaks while driving over rough road surfaces.
