1-3-2-4
I’m looking at some 245/45/17 tires for wheels that are 17x 7.5 is the wheel not wide enough? I need tires bad so I’m trying to get my info right before I order.

MC_Legacy
I think you will be fine, the only thing you will see is the tire popping out a more than the rim. And I think thats one big iff. I've ran some 255/45/17 on some 17 x 7, I loved the look, it made the wheels look wider than they really were. I think you will be fine, anyone? lol

whitetiger
I’m looking at some 245/45/17 tires for wheels that are 17x 7.5 is the wheel not wide enough? I need tires bad so I’m trying to get my info right before I order. they are quite tall for the LGT. 245/40/17 is the more optimal size. make sure you have front strut clearance in the lower spring perch by measuring your existing setup and comparing with willtheyfit.com
rhino6303
I think a 235/45/17 would be a better match than what you're looking at on a 7.5" rim.
1-3-2-4
My car is lowered on h-tech springs I’m trying to get a tire with the largest tire to rim clearance as possible due to the millions of pot holes here.. I drive between NJ/NYC to CT every morning around 3am so not always are they easy to see. I have some pretty mangled rims at the moment.. just waiting to make sure the tire size is right before I get the other two wheels lol

fedaykin
My rule of thumb: 7.0" = 215 7.5" = 225 8.0" = 235 8.5" = 245 Check the tyre specs, manufacturer would have a range of wheel widths recommended for the tyre. I wouldn't put 245 on a 7.5" but I think you'll be fine.
grovlet
Xekonk Sticky has all the info you need.... But 245/45 is not really recommended.... 245 = Min 8" Width & as noted 45 sidewall is too tall for that width.... Recommendation is actually 225/45/
shralp
IMHO a 245 on a 7.5 is just to big a tire on too narrow a rim. 225 would be more appropriate with a step up to 235 on a 8" wide rim....

1-3-2-4
So I was looking in the service manual and I see the settings or what would be for the toe in/out I'm wondering if the bolt is maxed out on toe-out..
