I think they're Osram? Probably better for you, local support etc. -

The Subaru wheel studs are weak (compared to Nissan anyway), so they should be "greased". Not that ever do that. My old Nissans have no issues. Took my BR to get the tyres replaced by Subaru workshop (bought tyres online, got it delivered there as they were closest), each wheel came back with a cross threaded stud. I had no issues removing and installing wheels, so the monkey in the workshop obviously stuffed up. They don't spin the wheel nut on properly and then ugga dugga the shit out of it. But yeah, that price is absurd. Just throw in equivalent aftermarket studs in and away you go (if you can pull the brake rotors off, you can change the studs). I'd also never take my car to a dealer unless I needed something scanned by their propriety scanning tool. Can't trust them to change an oil filter, or install a wheel properly.

Thoughts on Buick TourX / Opel Insignia?
fedaykin replied to 59ctd's topic in Other cars & Other cars vs. the Legacy
Well, it no Commodore. - Austrian I drove a hire car (sedan), basically Europe's Camry. Decent inside, nothing special, drove fine for daily usage, like a Camry. Can't say that Opel's reliability is the same as Toyota though. It's discontinued, as Opel was sold to the French I believe. No idea on parts availability (thoughts for the future I guess). I too have been contemplating the 'ZB' as a replacement if my gen 5 ever gets written off. -
Agree, two idiots. Also it takes some effort to lose control of a car like that. Scary to think you share the road with people like them.

Ice build up inside the fog housing? If it's outside, wouldn't you just brush it away before driving (after clearing your windows, headlights, taillights, etc.)? I can't say I've driven in snow much (only once actually). Our "snowy mountains" area just got hit with bushfires.

I have morimotos. They have a nice beam, but all it does is add a bit of light in front of the bumper and onto the sides, can barely tell they are on. I have OEM HIDs. Off topic: Do a retrofit of your headlights, much better result.

Daniel Stern Lighting and Subaru headlight options

Retrofit. Just changing bulbs won't give you the output you want. https://www.hidplanet.com/forums/forum/showoff/projector-retrofits/1460346-2009-subaru-legacy-hid-retrofit If you don't want to retrofit (e.g. due to legal reasons), your best bet would be the Vosla from Daniel Stern. Note that in a projector the upgrade isn't as drastic as in a reflector housing (I threw a pair in a 2019 Hyundai i30, it should last a lot longer than XtremeVision/Nightbreaker haha). -

Headlight bulb issue?
fedaykin replied to 5thGenCVT's topic in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
I don't understand why you American have this issue with headlight bulbs. My car came with the factory HID bulb, some Japanese brand I forgot the name. The headlights were scorched by the Australian sun (burnt bowls) but the bulbs were fine (although probably dimmer than new). I put in new Philips standard replacement and they've been going great for 3 years. Just import some EU LHD headlights or retrofit with mini D2S/G5-R and throw Philips/Osram in. Why bother with PnP when you have a much better solution easily available to you. -
Osram/Philips/OE bulbs I'd believe. Aftermarket, no way. Hell, I had some cheapos pink shift in 2 minutes with DLT F3 ballasts.

DRL usually runs at half voltage, hence the flicker. You can either disable DRL, or go back to halogen.

Very easy fix. Replace it with Opel Insignia Or Holden Commodore lol

Power Windows Stopped Working
fedaykin replied to NavigatorsLegacy's topic in Fifth Generation Legacy (2010 - 2014 )
When I don't wind down the windows on my car for 1 week+, they get "stuck". I just keep pressing the button for a few seconds until it moves. My guess is the rubbers "hold" the glass in place, or the motors are sleeping. -

OP is after the look, doesn't care about airflow. Look on alibaba/aliexpress/ebay/amazon for stick on triangles?
