Did some work on my friends tundra (had to address an issue with the knock sensors) - the starter is under the intake manifold so the whole shooting match has to come off to get it... sadly, the knock sensors are located under there, too... on the plus side, the fuel injectors seat in the intake manifold, so the rails, injectors, and manifold all come off as one giant assembly (just had to undo the fuel line, unplug the injectors, etc. and you are good to go) - the newer Tundras (and presumably others) cram even more crap under there - there's an air pump and all sort of lines... it's a mess!
