Aczwild
With all the sweet STi acessories that Subaru is bringing here, I think it will be 1 or 2 years until we finally see an STi Legacy stateside. Those gauges are hella sick though! JDM'd All to hell Thanks Jimmy @ Hkc-Speed.com! RIP Coxx & Thanks
DAP
The subaru web site says they measure "turbo, pressure, & temperature". Uhhhhh... turbo pressure fine, makes sense. Temperature, of what?? isn't there already a temperature gage in the car? (Acutally there are two of them, engine temperature, and outside temperature.) And what is the third guage for? I suppose one could read that as the three measurements where "turbo" actually means turbo pressure, but then what pressure is "pressure" measuring? IwannaSportSedan
Those are DEFI, but they are not the BF series. The BF series are bigger, and they are blacked out when off, light the red needles, sweep, then the white (or optional red/amber) numerics light up, just like the GT guages. in the dash. The STi gauge pack may be extremely similar, but aren't controlled by the Defi Link unit, and they aren't as completely dark when off... minor things, really. It will be interesting to see them, and especially if it can be somewhat reasonably installed by a shadetree mechanic afterward, It might be a really nice solution... The BFs are just absolutely slick, and I think they have some more features, but are bigger, and only two will fit between the vents. (at least one person has modded the cubby to accept them. I know they have imperial measure editions of the BF gauges for the US now, too. (PSI, Fahrenheit, etc.)
jim1969
I wish we could contact DEFI and have a gauge package put together. I'd take boost (psi), EGT (F), and oil pressure (psi). That would be better.

TSiWRX
ChruiSSer Is the oil temp/pressure adapter (looks like it replaces/adds-on to the stock oil drain plug?) available separately? <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family
melayout
Winky's bitch - I think it screws on the stock oil filter location and then the oil filter screws on it. It is sandwiched between the oil filter and engine block. I keed I keeed
TSiWRX
^ Cool beans..... Definitely want to look into the separate availability of this component. Would make my plans to get more gauges a lot easier. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

Leonardo
At least the Oil Adapter is the Defi part which you can get now. You can also get the GReddy arapter. CruSSer, any chance to get more units anytime soon?
Canuck 2.5GT
Id love those gauges but they are way to much money. I could buy a nice exhaust or somthing for that price. I might just go with a Megan racing boost gauge and AVO pod.
graayfa
Looks sweet! Would love to add this to my 2006 OB XT!
ChruiSSer
Sorry fella's I wasn't able to get the part numbers today... We were SWAMPED!!! I'll get those asap. melayout
ChruiSSer - So if I went to my dealer and asked for it to be installed, about how much would the installation labor cost? I keed I keeed
ChruiSSer
Our shop says 2 hr. max! Probably 1-1/2 hours but shops will round up. Depending on the labor cost, ours is $89/hr, is what will drive the cost up. There's actually quite a bit that's involved. You need to take the stereo/climate control out and run pipe, wires, etc... RADON
Is the boost gauge mechanical or electrical?
melayout
I'm pretty sure it is all mechanical. I keed I keeed
RADON
If the oil pressure and oil temp are mechanical then that would require running liquid to the gauges and thus, inside the cabin.
melayout
I think the oil filter adapter, which is sandwiched between oil filter and where the filter screws on, contains the pressure and temperature sensors. I keed I keeed

firedawgs
I will stick to using my Scanmaster3 (datalogger) that was a mere $220. Updated my vBGarage:
Leonardo
They are electricl! Remember, they are Defis. They have sensors just like the BF's which all plug to the box (housing) in which the gauges are encased.
