Cup_of_Joe
Just so happens I have a set of Blacks for sale in the marketplace. I also noticed that, still waiting on a certain income to blow all on car parts. It'll be a few weeks, but if they are still around I'll shoot a pm. Timothy.B
This is on my list of things to do this spring. Along with the interior faux wood grain wrap and the JDM style grill. Timothy.B's 2011 LEGACY 3.6R

What's your plans for the grill, exactly? Are you replacing your whole front-end?

I hate it. I suck at things like this. Too many little imperfections! Going to pay someone to wrap it, or maybe remove it and paint it. Some over spray on my hood and windshield, was a little windy today. Best way to remove it? Its not enough to peel off. It's always way cheaper to do stuff yourself and I personally get a lot of pride out of it as well. You can do it!
Unsp0kn
Overspray will come off by just rubbing it if it's really light. Dip takes some trial and error and will almost always have some texture in it.
foxrider28
I used the plasti-dip clear over the black on my grill and it helped the texture quite a bit, it was still visible close up but from 3 feet not visible at all, and it helped blend in with the combing too. But it's been almost a year now and it shows where I did it in a rush in the cold because the corners are peeling and the V vs Combing color is way off. But the grill is getting some more attention come spring time. And I will most likely do the window trim too.
Cup_of_Joe
I may try again on a warmer day, take my time, I do love how there's no chrome anymore Sent from my LG-ls990 using Tapatalk
Unsp0kn
Warm temps is the key, it will allow the dip to flatten out better and when you add coats it will liquefy more quickly and give you a more even finish. I've never had great luck with any dip project unless it's at least 65F.
GTEASER
Only dip when its warmer than 65. It lays out better. GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold

Unsp0kn
The first time I did a grill, it turned out like ass. Now that I've done 4 or 5 grills, two sets of wheels and all my trim I'm getting a lot better at it and that's just spray can stuff. Don't give up on it, you can make it look pretty good with some practice!

I will try again once it warms up. I'll leave it for now and throw my provas on. Sent from my LG-ls990 using Tapatalk
Cup_of_Joe
Waiting to redip it before adding on the provas, as much as I want to see them on the car, I don't feel like peeling them off and adding new tape. Doing a lot on the first Sunday that hits over 65 degrees. Dipping trim, grille, wheels, adding provas, rear spoiler and roof spoiler. But today I added this bobblehead, yes I'm a dork, I know! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160229/d797667fc3dad026c279a090e85b1ca5.jpg Sent from my LG-ls990 using Tapatalk

Cup_of_Joe
Is 70 degrees today, so I installed my rear deck and roof spoiler. Removed old plastidip, so I can redo it soon. Btw, goo gone and microfiber towels work great at removing it! Also gave her a bath, and looking for something else to do before work! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160309/560946268d1de5e9d5d8092f6c37790c.jpg Sent from my LG-ls990 using Tapatalk
Cup_of_Joe
And decided to try and dip the space between my exhaust tips, see how it comes out, while I'm down here, can anyone tell me about my exhaust? I know its after market and magnaflow mufflers, but that's it. GTEASER
It looks like just some Magnaflow cans and resonator on a custom muffler shop setup, it's not the actual Magnaflow catback because it would have mandrel bent tubing and that is clearly not mandrel bent.
