Side Mirror with Integrated Turn Signal

Recommended Posts

...every dealer says they are #1 in the country...

But Heuberger is the real deal ... although other dealers are constantly nipping at their heels. (FWIW, I just checked Heuberger's on-line inventory and they currently have 901 new Subarus available for sale, either on the lot or in transit. At their sales rate of ~20 cars a day, that's less than a two months supply.)

Any update on modifying the mirrors? I found this article over on the forrester forums, looks like they were successful in adding the blinkers on the mirrors. I'm definitely interested in adding these.

Here is a youtube link for them being installed on a 2015 STI -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqtSpJerlIY

I saw the same thing... I was hoping that there may be an easier way to do this without taking out the door card and doing all the wiring for it. I'm actually going to the dealership soon and going to talk to the service manager and see what I can find out... and get a free car wash while I'm there! :)

1692 - just so you know...every dealer says they are #1 in the country...I've seen the commercials here in VA too:lol:

Don't believe everything you see or read on the TV or Internet.

Oh...and by the way...I am the best driver ever...how do I know? Because I said so;)

HAHA... very good points!

Yeah, I would rather not take off the door panels either, could potentially lead to rattles / noises later down the road, which would drive me crazy. Let me know what the SM says.

I definitely want to add turn signals to my mirrors but not if the wiring isn't there already

Since they are a factory-only (not PIO) option ... bundled with EyeSight/SRVD in Premium trim ... I doubt that the wiring will be present.

I was thinking that as well. I still haven't had a chance to go to the dealer and ask.

JamesJaikissoon, let me know how this goes... and take pics if you can! If it doesn't end up being too difficult of a project I'm thinking of doing this again. The kit is actually pretty well priced for all that is included, and the wires look long enough to at least go inside the door panel.

Oh, and to update everyone else... I did talk to the service manager at Heuberger when I was getting my fuel door replaced (3 months after I had them check it out and order the part... they forgot to call me when it was in) and he said that he honestly had no idea if it could be done or not. I even offered them to take my door panel off so we could find out if anyone else asked, and he declined. Guess for that it's up to one of us to figure it out.

I didn't remove that 10mm bolt yet. I just wanted to see inside what it looked like.

I bought this harness also cause I need those tips at the end. Im not sure if the harness pictured above will work or the harness on this website. But I'm confident I can get this going some how.

Looks like a pretty informative site! It looks like the wires that it describes are in the pictures you took of your wiring harness in the door, so hopefully it will be an easy tap in. As for running the wires, I hope it's not too tight of a fit!
