Hey guys! I wanted to chime in here and share what I'm sure a few of you have already noticed. We were working on the incorrect intel that the turbo inlet for the 5th gen LGT is the same as the 2015 WRX (we don't have one available for testing). While they do look very similar, the LGT solenoid actually fits differently than the 2015 WRX solenoid. For that reason, the small bent bracket that holds the solenoid can't be utilized. It appears that the machined piece will still work as intended, but that mounting of the solenoid itself may need to be different.

Our solution will likely be to provide a more 'universal' mount for the solenoid that will allow you to mount it somewhere near the turbo along with a longer wiring harness. You'll get all of the same benefits that the GrimmSpeed unit offers over the others in just a little bit different package. We are fast tracking this project to get a proper solution to you guys, so stay tuned(heh)!

Thanks Matt! You guys are the best!

Is anyone near Grimmspeed in Minneapolis that could get their car over there for a test fit?

Agreed! I pm'd them on Nasioc inquiring about this GB and he quickly informed me that they had a slight issue and were working out the bugs for the LGT guys. I shot them over this link so they could update the Legacy guys too. Sure enough, here's the update. Great customer service and communication! Please keep us posted and thanks again Matt.

Just talked to Matt at Grimmspeed. The NASIOC group buy thread suggested we call Customer Service and I did. They are working on a revised solenoid mounting bracket for the Legacy GT. We should hear something in about a month once they make the necessary fitment confirmation and provide a revised, updated or modified part with their solution.

Sure, I just messaged them. FWIW, I also messaged them months ago about 5th Gen fitment on a local forum but never heard back. I think they have another "go-to" 5th Gen in the area.

It is nice having them in town and I'm very impressed w/ every GS piece of equipment I've bought. I have probably stopped by their shop to buy shiny bits 3-4 times (although, I've only bought GS license plate relocation kit and GS universal gasket for my 5th Gen).

I got mine a few days after the NASIOC shipment. It was definitely geared more towards the WRX. I have been in contact with Matt and Andy with Grimmspeed and sending them pics of my ideas and mounting. They revised a unit and between the two shipments from them I devised a pretty awesome setup that controls boost well. Pics coming soon.

These are some of the first pics of the solenoid not working and not fitting. I custom fabbed the entire setup minus the new mounting bracket. Bolted the solenoid to a tab near the bottom of the radiator. Works like a charm,

Will help build boost a bit quicker as well, even on stage 1 or 2 set ups (stock turbo). I'm going to order a unit for my own car and do some testing. I've loved the results on every other Subaru I've tuned, no matter how basic the mods, when paired with a 3 port BCS.

So what's the one they came up with look like? Maybe I can recreate it. :spin:

GS hasn't come up with anything yet. Still at least a couple of weeks out.

I spoke with Matt on the phone almost 2 weeks ago and they were thinking it would be about a month.

The one Andy and I created was similar to the Hyundai bracket mounted to the Subaru solenoid you have to use the straight nipple adapter for the LGT.

I just ordered the above adaptor, with the straight nipple and the non bracket version of the 10-12 LGT/15 WRX 3port. Will try and post data as soon as possible
