rdhayward
Update 8/30/15, I wrecked and totaled #271 last week in rural Utah, eastbound on US-50. Cruise control on, right side swayed on the shoulder where there is no shoulder, and I swerved left then right, porpoised into the ditch, airbag deployed and held me in place as the car flipped over and completely cleared a barbed-wire fence, landed such that the trunk became a perfect accordion, and slid on its roof to its final position. I crawled out, minor cuts, bruises, and burns (from the airbag, mind), and endured the temporary loss of my right-foot Minnetonka moosehide driving moccasin, which, thankfully, I later recovered from the hulk. There will be no parts available, for sale or otherwise. I already have plans for it. Count your blessings, friends, I enjoyed in this car. JJBerk
That car did a remarkable job of keeping you safe and in one piece. So glad you were able to walk away! RIP spec.B Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
PeterJMC
Ohh man. Tough news to read about the car. Glad to read you came out relatively okay and in once piece too! How did you sway that far out, doze off while driving? I hope you are able to get recovered and back into a Legacy so you can make use of some of the parts you'd been stocking up on. Coldsho
Everytime i see a crashed legacy i remember why i bought one. Even when theyre in crazy crashes the passengers seem to be well taken care of. Sad to see another b gone. Good thing another b owner is still on the road able to keep going. Thetoad
Well it does absolutely confirm Subaru's consistent rep as building safe cars. You might want to reconsider your NoParts however..... Those wheels are still highly prized.. I'd be willing to bet I might just have the fewest miles on a B ,,,say a million Zloty's

rdhayward
Thanks for all the kind thoughts. I'm having the wreck transported to Sacramento, CA, to harvest whatever parts are still useful.
