WraithAkaMrak
Some info on cargo size and liftgate here. One detail I hadn't read yet: There's also a new PIN Code Access system for Limited trim levels. Ford has offered keypad access for years, and Subaru's system is a variation on that idea. It uses just one button located under the overhang above the license plate. Once you've created a numerical code, you can use it to unlock the car without a key. Here's how it works: If three is one of your numbers, you'd press the button three times, pause briefly, and then move to the next number in your code. With the system, Subaru says you can leave your keys in the car when you'd rather not have them, like on a run or bike ride.
ssbtech
The power liftgate mechanism looks like it takes up a fair bit of space. There have been times I've loaded stuff in my Outback and it's barely fit. Narrowing the opening won't help. As for the "leave the key in the car" feature with the coded entry... do I need to point out how silly it is to leave a key in the car? Visibility looks like it will be crap out the rear corners with the massive D pillars and high beltline.
levihamernik
I don't think it would be too terribly hard to make it into a legacy wagon. A nice drop and replacing the bumper and side skirts with legacy ones would just about do it. Too bad their's still no GT option
LegGTLT
Don't worry, ssbtech is working on that chop right now. Please PM joeleodee For All Site Questions. He is the acting Admin and can resolve anything related to LegacyGT.com
ssbtech
Subaru will not be releasing a 2015 Legacy Wagon, but rather an alien spaceship http://cornerbalance.files.wordpress.com/2008/11/possessed1.jpg

A nice drop and replacing the bumper and side skirts with legacy ones would just about do it. Too bad their's still no GT option I have the current OB dropped with legacy suspension and the bumper doesn't bother me as much as the side cladding/skirts and the wide a** rear bumper. I would say the 2015 wouldn't look too much different seeing that aesthetically it hasn't changed more than 15% IMO.
LegGTLT
Well I'll be damned......... that is very well done! You switch over stock suspension? Or did you upgrade shocks and springs? StoplightAssassin
Much better than stock, but it looks more like a lowered SUV than a wagon with the Outback's styling.
Manik1770
Well I'll be damned......... that is very well done! You switch over stock suspension? Or did you upgrade shocks and springs? Thanks, I'm on KW V3's for Legacy / BR9. Great ride which is complimented by a 245/45 tire or 19"s. Much better than stock, but it looks more like a lowered SUV than a wagon with the Outback's styling. Yeah I get glanced here and there of how much of behemoth this gen is, but I forgive Subaru a little when I realize how much space there is in there. pnmid
That lower body cladding is removable, right? I suppose JDM lowers would be $$$.
Manik1770
That lower body cladding is removable, right? I suppose JDM lowers would be $$$. Not as easy - I believe the panel clips run through the door itself. The only way would be to remove, then professionally patch / paint for a full delete. And the EDM/JDM legacy wagons are slightly different in dimension from the outback just like the UDM Legacy and Outback are. That's why us OB owners are also limited on aftermarket grill options since the aftermarket legacy ones don't fit exact.

mattg
Does it still have a power e-brake? I would rather have a handle all day.
fredrik94087
Does it still have a power e-brake? I would rather have a handle all day. Sadly, the evolution of most models sold in large numbers is to distance the driver from the road as much as possible. Numb the steering sensation...numb the throtthe...numbe the wheel to road feel, etc. "It's within spec" - SOA "Depth is only shallowness viewed from the side." - Fredism "So, how much did it cost for your car to be undriveable ." - Stephen (very close friend) "You have done so much it would be stupid to go back." - Sunny of Guru Electronics 2018Q50RS | 2015WrxThread | Shrek
