Started to remove the OEM crossmember so I can replace it with the turbo WRX one I purchased. It looks like the control arms mount differently, and I suppose this means I will need WRX control arms, correct?

Also, going to spray inside the wells with rubberized black coating before I put the new fender liners in:

Ok, upon further inspection it just looks like the control arm sits in there slightly different. I should still be good with my Legacy control arms... I believe.

Also, did this while I was in there:

Thanks!

Good friend of mine just upgraded his brakes on his OBXT so I'm picking up his calipers and rotors for $100! Nice upgrade from stocks!

Oem:

260mm, 1 piston caliper

OBXT:

294mm, 2 piston caliper

Non-turbo crossmember is out! It was easy aside from the bolt that connects the control arm to crossmember. Had to take out the whole thing with control arm still attached. Just ran out for some wobble impact sockets.

More updates!

Ordered the last two pieces of molding that I needed and the following day got an email they they are out of stock, so it looks like I waited too long. Luckily my friend Jim still had his parts car and let me pick some more parts. I got those two pieces of molding, plus the fender pieces. Since his is pre-facelift the fender molding doesn't have sidemarkers so that's cool. They fit a little weird so I'm going to cut the clips off and fashion new ones that let it sit in line with the door molding:

Coming along! Also put in the hood stopper pieces and aligned the hood. I plan to install that driveshaft today (thanks Jim!) and the fender liners that I painted last night with the same rubberized coating I used inside fender wells.

Oh I forgot, I also fitted the five speed surround into my oem center console. The fit isn't perfect, but it's damn close! I need to file down one of the clips a tiny bit on the inside, I will document.

Dyed the whole assembly:

Got my driveshaft all bolted up today! I could use some new bushings for the center bracket piece, but otherwise its good!

Also got some pre-facelift fender molding that doesn't have a side marker. Looks like the fenders must be slightly different where the molding goes because it doesn't quite line up to the door molding:

So what I did was cut off the clips on the back of the molding & taped it up to the fender where it should be, marked the holes on the back of the molding and JB welded some bolts into place. Worked perfectly and now the molding looks great!

Also temporarily put the fender liner in. Looks pretty good but its not perfect. Not sure if its 'not perfect' enough to drive me crazy yet:

One thing earlier when you were asking about having orange turn signals...I would say not to now Since your side markers are now solid trim instead of the orange reflectors being there. ;)

Yeah, the clear corners have grown on me, looks pretty clean. I will probably just leave them.

Just scraped all of the peeling old ass tint off the windows. Took forever but it looks so much cleaner now.
