4thsubaru
And maybe the airbox could be designed for 2.5i, GT and 3.6R with different piping options based on the engine platform. Curious did this ever happen?
jojorios
Take it in for the tune in a few days. Yes MAF and turbo xs RFL. Why? Because sweet sounds that's why. The sound is pretty awesome. Even if I'm making 2 less HP, the sound alone is worth it until I get the tune. I just bought the Cobb air box and I'm fairly certain I can get it to work with our reverse intake piping......with some modding of course. I'm totally going all Army pathfinder on this one. PIA in Tacoma is gonna help me out. Also just got wheels powder coated satin black, front lip, and ravspec side skirts. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD Did you ever get the Cobb Air box to work? jojorios
Did you have to do many modifications for it to work? I have the same intake ready for install as well and would like to use the air box as well. Definitely please post some pics if you can.
Sm00veM00ve
In for pics of the setup as well. Definitely trying to get an intake on before tuning time again in the spring even if it's just for the sound

Deadrick20
Sorry guys I'm still using just the intake. Maybe I'll try and install the air box, but for now my hot air intake put down pretty good power. Currently looking into frankensteining my ETS exhaust manifold. Deadrick20
Nah. I want to make sure it's going to work before I get everyone all spun up. Give me a month to get the fab work started. Lol one of you guys should buy the 2015 Wrx SF intake and make it fit.
islandborn
So going to Cobb on the 23.... Going to have them try their 2015 wrx on and see if I have enough time to go SD. I blame Stu on talking me into this.

acumenhokie
Hmmmm Mishimoto 2014+ FXT Performance Intake Development - NASIOC http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2763629 (Share from CM Browser) I wonder if I was the inspiration for their intake. They were all over mine when I was in for the charge pipe test fit and this part looks a lot like my custom setup. I'm sure when they saw the 14+ FXT they thought back to mine. s2baru
You were the first person to come to mind when I came across that. Looks like I'll have to take apart a friends fxt and see the similarities

acumenhokie
Difficulty in switching ours to theirs? Here's a comparison photo I took back when I was looking at the charge pipe. It's square vs. circle. https://plus.google.com/photos/109780854372699670398/albums/6053123623836317681/6053123706816492194?pid=6053123706816492194&oid=109780854372699670398

So, if I was to upgrade... and by chance the '15 WRX Cobb intake fits...I can simply use (or HAVE to use) their MAF?
Rutchard
Not sure if the different MAF sensor would be plug and play or not. New 2014 FXT MAF sensor runs around $270 though. Kinda expensive to find out...
