  1. So, I will be installing my Koni's and Eibach's tomorrow night. That and the front LCA bushings should take care of the suspension. I want to move on to a little power upgrade. I'm just looking for a little more pull and maybe a little more boost sooner...? Not looking for anything crazy and want reliability because this is my daily. I have about $1,000-1,200 to drop on this upgrade now. Is that enough or should I wait and bank a little more cash? What would you do with the cash?
  2. I would definitely get the lines warrantied too. What is a 43k oil change?
  3. When I'm feeling lazy I use Fitness Blender on Youtube. I also make myself do at least 10 minutes of something to get my heart going, even if I don't have time, energy or ambition. My goal is 45min- 1 hr, but will take anything under. I just give in to the fact that I have to work out everyday. It is the only way I can make it through my job daily and not have an effed up back all the time. You don't need machines either. I used to follow this workout that had you use things around the house. I always liked the pull ups using two chairs back to back with a broom or something across the top of the backs of the chairs. Lay underneath and pull up while keeping your body rigid. Plus, I'm over 200lbs, so body weight and gravity exercises feel heavy to me. Split the week up into body parts for weight training and cardio. I do Monday - legs/core, Tuesday - chest/back, Wednesday - 3 mile run, Thursday - bi's and tri's, Friday - legs/core or another run. On the days I don't want to think I use the Fittness Blender for whatever body part I need and do it for as long as I can. Good luck, it's a life long struggle and state of being in a good kinda pain.
  4. I have been running the Asics for the last 4-5 years. I get a new pair of running shoes every year, this year I got a pair of Brooks and I really like them a lot. I try on a bunch of shoes every year and I always feel like the Nike's feel the worst to me every time. The Brooks were light, had good support and won the spot on my feet this year. I fall into the arch when I walk and get a shoe with a hard arch support... for what it's worth.
  5. Talk to me about the hood and front quarter panel on your sweet ride MC_Legacy. That roof rack looks great on the car.
  6. The O2 sensor seems to have taken care of my check engine light returning. I took the GT on a 400+ mile trip this weekend and not a peep from the check engine light. I got the fog lights installed and aimed nicely. I really like the tint color on the Lamin-X fog light covers. I think it looks great with the black car. I also ordered some AVO front LCA bushings to install while I do my Koni install this weekend. For some reason the birds keep pooping on my car and leaving my wife's black Forester XT completely alone and it is parked right next to the GT...?
  7. I got the O2 sensor installed last night. I put the car up on the rack at work and realized that I can go through the top of the engine bay and have much easier time replacing the sensor. Just pop out the coolant reservoir, get a long extension and it's easy peasy. I hope the check engine light stays off now.
  8. Finally have picture proof that I actually do own a Legacy GT:)
  9. The better way to go seems to be dependent on how much drop you want from the springs. From what I have read: The 13-14 coils are a bit firmer and the same height as the stock 2010-11 Legacy's. The Eibachs's drop the car 1" all around and have a slightly firmer ride than the 13-14 coils, but when coupled with the Koni's it's supposed to be a nice combo between ride and handling. I wanted to get a little drop on the car to get the look and take away the floating feeling around sweeping turns, so I got the Eibach's. If I end up having too much issues with clearance in the snow this winter I will be getting the stock 13-14 coils and going with that.
  10. Nice, I ordered a set of the LED fogs off Ebay for $83 deilvered and got them yesterday. Now, I'm just waiting for my Lamin-x stickers to get here on Tuesday and I will put them in. I will have to make sure they are aimed correctly right off the bat, thanks. My check engine has been coming on quite often in the higher temps we have been having the last couple of days. I will install the O2 sensor tomorrow and see if that takes care of the P0420 code for good.
  11. This thread is making me realize how much pampering money I'm spending on the GT... I just put in my order for the Koni inserts, top hats and Eibach Springs. I'm stoked to get these installed!
  12. I didn't even know I needed LED fog lights... I ordered a set of the 2015-2017 Mustang fog lights and some tint colored lens covers from Lamin-x. My car looks a little goofy with only one fog light. I picked up a drive belt and put it in today because the old one was all cracked to hell. The auto adjuster makes the job so much easier than the belts in my Forester and the old WRX. The Legacy is the easiest swap of a drive belt I have done, ever! I didn't buy this, but touched up a couple rock chips with a touch up pen. They never look great, just better than white spots on a black car.
  13. Thanks Perscitus! Yes, it's a Denso. Thanks for the heads up too! I will be going that route eventually. I'm slowly working my way towards that. I'm going to do the struts/shocks first, then on to the engine stuff with a tune.
  14. Finally picked up a downstream oxygen sensor for my P0420 code. I just ordered it on Amazon for $53 shipped and the cheapest I could find the same exact sensor in town at a shop was $90... damn. I will install it this weekend and see if it gets rid of my P0420 issue. The check engine light is coming on a little more often with the warmer weather, so it's time to deal with it. I also picked up a new clay bar, some polish, sealer and wax. I need to give the Forester and Legacy some exterior paint attention... two black Subaru's need a lot of attention to look good/great!
  15. Oh man, I hope it isn't the mount now too. I will pop the trim piece off tomorrow and get a better look at what's going on. Is the trim piece just held in by a couple of push down tabs?
  16. Thanks coco!! I will grab two of those and make the switch to LED. I'll have to see if my plastic housing is still good or if I have to get a new one on the passenger side. I guess I don't know if it broke on the light side or the mount side... or both?
  17. Hmmm, LED fogs... I'll have to go look into that. Way to go cww516, you enabler:) Where did you get the Mustang clones from Humble Rumble?
  18. So, I was hand washing my car and the right side fog light just pushed right in with hardly any force. I pushed it back on the guides, but it fell off after the first ride or so. It looks like one or more of the mounts is oxidized and fell off. I haven't given it a thorough look yet, but I'm thinking I can just buy a new housing with light and be all good? Are the OEM like aftermarket sets just as good as the factory OEM ones? Any fun aftermarket sets or just the OEM look? My searching turned up a lot of people adding the fog lights to the 3.6 or 2.5i and not much about replacing or upgrading the fog lights on a GT. Thanks!
  19. Is br9 jdm the part number of the Bilstein coilovers?
  20. Did you lube everything up on reassembly? I always make sure to hit the back of the pads with lube too, mainly where the pads contact the piston and caliper end. I have had bad luck with ceramic pads being more noisy than the metallic pads. In my truck fleet and personal vehicles. What material are the HPS pads? Sometimes the brake rotors can become glazed and make noise. It's usually due to heat. You can have the rotors turned or some people scuff the rotors. Usually done with new pads. Does the noise go away if yo make a couple of high speed stops... around 45mph to almost zero a couple times?
  21. Ah, that makes sense... I have never had either of those things in a car. Although, I was thinking about getting a radar detector again recently. I will look at the fuse box, find a good place to tuck the wire and make it less annoying for now. Thanks islandborn!
  22. So, I have this annoying old school phone line hanging down from my driver's side sun visor and stuffed up under the headliner. It's super annoying and I plan on either cutting it out or trying to stuff it somewhere out of sight. Does anyone know what this is for? I'm sure it's not stock to the car. It looks like the old hands free kits they used to sell for cars, but this car has bluetooth...?
  23. After installing the Kartboy short shift adapter and Perrin bushing this weekend, I took a couple minutes tonight to install the shift stop that came with the Kartboy kit. I dropped one of the allen screws from the kit and lost it between the carpet and the floor somewhere... a gift to the car gods, I guess. I picked up another from a local hardware shop and it was all good. I then took a couple drives to adjust the stop just right. It really does make things nice and snug all around. I'm getting less vibration in the shifter now too. I used to have a little vibration in the shifter when cruising down the road. I'm not sure if it was the new center diff I put in or the changes in the shifter that did it? I would lean towards the center diff, but I'm not sure. This is getting fun! Now, I'm thinking some Koni's and then on to a couple small upgrades with a pro tune.
  24. I installed a new center diff, Kartboy short shifter, Perrin brass bushing and some Whiteline transmission cross member bushings today. The hardest part of the whole day was the Kartboy short shifter. That fricking stock shift arm was seized on pretty good and put up a hell of a fight all the way off. I forgot to go pick up my washer for the bushing at the dealer, but I had a washer at work that fit great with a little modifying. The short shift is awesome! It took a couple of shifts to smooth out, but feels pretty good now... nice and tight. I could tell the center diff was better as soon as I turned the car in the parking lot to leave. It was much smoother and less notchy than before. I noticed when it was up in the air that all the inside treads were a little funky and I imagine that was due to the bad center diff. It was pretty easy to do the center with all of the exhaust in place, I had no interest in fighting that today too I'll get it out for a nice ride tomorrow to test the center diff on a longer drive.
