  1. I picked up an 07 spec.b interior and it's in great shape, save for some rips in the rear passenger door card, specifically on the door handle/arm rest, as in the pics.... I would like to remove the blue section and transfer it to my current door card which isn't ripped. I flipped the door insert over to see how it was connected, and it seems to be plastic rivets, as seen here: I think I could just drill out these plastic rivets, and remove the blue piece and then rivet them back in to the other door card. Has anyone attempted this before? I imagine I could take it to a car upholstery shop but seems like something a DIYer could do, just wondering if anyone has done this and found any pitfalls to avoid. TIA
  2. So I completed step 1 last night. Got the interior bits from an 07 spec.b to put in my 05 LGT wagon. This write up is for putting them in an OBXT, is it the same for LGT or is it more of a direct swap?
  3. Check out Ontario Legacy Owners group in FB. Lost of folks there with parts kickin around. Or 613 Subies since you're from Ottawa.
  4. I have a grille from an 05 GT. Chrome is cracked in a couple spots. I can email pics if interested.
  5. I've got a 2006 6-speed transmission that came with the shifter linkages and reverse cable not included (cut off is a more accurate term). I can pick up a JDM Spec.B shifter essentially bnib complete with linkage and reverse lockout cable. Would there be any issue in mating these two? As JDM would be right hand drive, would that affect the placement of the linkages on the trans? TIA.
  6. My questions are how do we go about requesting quotes on items? What is the lead time from order to delivery? I'm planning on a body "refresh" this summer so it would be good to know these things.
  7. Those are outback. I have a legacy - no excess plastic!
  8. GASP! How will I cope with having better looking rear quarters?!?!?!!? So, when will you be working on front quarters to match?
  9. How much are the quarters? I'd rather go CF than another steel panel which will just eventually rust out. I'm guessing they are paintable? Not that I don't like the look of CF.....
  10. I have complete rear strut/springs and front springs. Also have sway bars if you want them too.
  11. I have a set of matte black Motegi wheels, which I got last summer, currently for my "summer" tires. Winter tires are currently on the OEM LGT wheels, but they are in rough shape. I picked up a set of gold Sparco rims today, and they are in pretty nice shape aside from some very minor curb rash and a couple small paint chips. My LGT is Atlantic Blue, so which look do you think is nicest? Gold or black?
  12. If you are looking for the climate controls with the cd changer HU, I also have one.
  13. Everything located, thank you for all that helped. Please close this thread.
  14. Very interesting. I have the same thing on my LGT and my 11 WRX. Good to know it is a simple fix.
  15. Currently trolling around for a USDM spec b transmission swap. But what I wonder is could the 6mt from the 10-14 lgt fit the 05-09 without much issue?
  16. Hi, I'm looking for wagon specific doors. Sedan fronts will work but rears must be from wagon. Preferences: 1) Rust free 2) Dent/scratch free 3) Atlantic Blue Pearl colour 4) With glass and door cards (though door cards not crucial) Thanks.
  17. I usually just use a ratchet and 14mm socket. If not just use a box end wrench.
  18. I'm in Ottawa. There is actually a facebook page dedicated to it. He generally stays in the east end of the city but is not limited to it, so better safe than sorry. Well that is good to hear about the 08/09s. From what I have read the 10-14 outbacks are drl wired to the low beams as well, causing halogen bulbs to die far sooner than they should. Last night I came home from hockey, and the passenger side light is out. WTF! They were both on when I left, so I'm hoping something just came loose. Guess I know what I'm doing today!
  19. We've got a city officer around here who has made it his life's work to give tickets to Subaru owners for any and all violations he can find. I'm just going to run with the lights on. The HID bulbs I got are good for about 2500 hours, so they should last me 3-4 years I would guess (manufacturer says 5-7 years). WAY better than the halogens which I had replaced 3 times in less than 2 years of ownership.
  20. I picked up some JDM rear trailing arms a bit ago. I know I need longer bolts for the wheel hubs, just wondering if anyone knows off hand how long they need to be? TIA
  21. They're in, will need an anti-flicker module for DRL to work. Up here in Canada, they are a legal requirement so disabling not an option. Oh well, at least I can drive to work tomorrow.
