  1. So luckily my 05 LGT quit on me in my driveway last night. Pushed it into the garage. Think the timing belt has disintegrated. What am I looking at in terms of repair? Valves, maybe heads, pistons? I'm guessing a minimum of $3000 for parts and labour? Is it worth it to repair the engine or look for a replacement? There is a JDM SPec.B engine with 6 speed a couple hours away for about $3000. Thanks for shedding any light on this you can.
  2. Some springs with a higher spring rate would help. Not sure if you can get those without them being lowering springs though. A good AM strut should be able to handle the load better too.
  3. I have some pretty rusty doors. Both front doors are rusting. The rears have no signs, which is odd. The passenger rear door has a good crease and scratch on it from prevous owner. I've seen some good condition Outback doors for sale around my area, but while they would be the same shape, the plastic cladding bothers me. Is the plastic cladding on the Outback doors glued on, or snaps or screwed? If I can get the cladding off without much damage I'd like to get some better condition doors this summer. Thanks for any info!
  4. +1 for Koni. I had some on a previous vehicle and they were great. Will get some for the Legacy this summer - got a nice deal on someone's Swift springs *wink wink jrho*.
