  1. I recommend using penetrating fluid on the bolts the night before you plan on doing the install. At almost 150k miles, I managed to take off all of my bolts and nuts for the install without any issues
  2. Installed my used Cobb downpipe I bought last fall. Install went surprisingly super smooth despite the car having almost the equivalent of 150k miles. New downpipe to turbo gasket and donut gasket for the catback. Perfect level of sound I was looking for
  3. Whelp, having white wheels shows tell tale signs. Noticed some grease on my inner barrels and looks like both my front inner CV boots are leaking. Ordered some new boot kits so I can address things before they get worse
  4. I don't have one currently but I'll grab a couple photos today and DM you!
  5. Installed my CS2 style front lip and my new summer wheels. Pretty excited how much more aggressive the car looks now
  6. Also make sure you have your spring preload set correctly too
  7. Rust scares off a lot of buyers and unfortunately the only work around is to lower the price to a point you start getting interest. You can buy replacement metal arches but the time and labor to cut out the old arch, weld in the new arch and then paint is not worth it for the majority of buyers. That rubber trim piece around the arch is the worst design as it traps moisture.
  8. Thanks! My long skis make it tough to find appropriately length boxes but this one works and I ended up getting it for next to nothing
  9. He's just been really busy lately. If you don't hear back from him for a few days, just send him a follow up email!
  10. Newly acquired Thule Force L 628 roof box mounted to the flush style OEM cross bars. I had an old Thule Frontier roof box before that was 6.5 ft long and it stuck out a decent amount over the front windshield to be able to open the trunk. Pleased with how the new box sits
  11. 235 will work but 245/35/18 actually has a shorter overall height which would be better to lowering. You would likely need to roll your fenders to run the 245s. It's a maybe for the 235s for a fender roll
  12. Those should fit completely fine! Usually mid to high 40s offset should cause no issues in terms of rubbing. 17s are usually lighter of a wheel and thus you'd be saving rotational mass over 18s which would help in performance. Ride comfort would likely be better with 17s as you'd have more sidewall height to cushion road imperfections. Sounds like you need to evaluate what you want to get out of your new wheel and tire set up. Usually performance and ride comfort don't go hand in hand so you'll have to make a compromise somewhere
  13. Those wheels might make your car feel better depending on if your tire and wheel combined weight is lighter than the stock wheels and tires. Tire size you'll ideally want to run 245s or 255s to make use of the width of the wheels. You could run 235s too if you'll willing to have some tire stretch. Ride comfort will depend on what side wall height the tires you choose will offer. Taller side wall will result in more ride comfort but potentially sloppier handling and the opposite for a shorter side wall. With stock suspension, those wheels will poke our a decent amount and I would recommend going with something more conservative such as an 8inch or 8.5inch wide wheel in the mid 40s to high 30s offset if you don't plan on lowering your car in the future. You may have to do some fender rolling even with stock suspension as you might run into rubbing issues when the suspension is fully compressed
  14. You will most likely need a roll. It's pretty easy to do it yourself if you can rent a fender roller from someone in your area
  15. You definitely don't want to run a spacer for those specs at stock height as they will already sit pretty flush. A 235/40/18 tire would pair pretty well with that wheel but you're likely still going to have to roll the rear unless you can deal with occasional rubbing when the car is loaded or going over larger bumps. Honestly rolling your fenders is a pretty easy thing to do yourself with a fender roller, heat gun and time and patience
  16. Finally got my new headunit in after finding out I was sold a single zone version of the HVAC conversion and waiting for the correct one to come in from Japan. Decided to with the JDM hazard button to make the install simple and it's a cheap part. Headunit I went with is the Sony XAV-AX100. I read a lot of positive reviews on this headunit and can say I've been very pleased with it so far. Love having Android Auto for navigation and streaming to bring up the interior to a more modern era haha. Still need to wrap the shifter surround in matte black to match the new HVAC controls. Also picked up a used set of Whiteline KTA 124 rear lateral arms locally. With warmer weather on the horizon, I'm hoping to finally install my Cobb downpipe that's been waiting in my room all winter
  17. Just be patient. I'm pretty sure he does it on the side and I know when I was talking to him in January he was really busy. If you don't hear back from him for a few days, email him back as I don't think he's really active on this forum anymore.
  18. The wheels you linked are a 9.5in wide wheel. If you're on stock suspension, you might not have to roll your fenders for the 8in wide wheel but I would do a minor roll to be safe. For the 8.5in wide wheel you'll most likely need to do a fender roll.
  19. He's been pretty swamped lately and other things going on as well but I talked to earlier in January and he's still doing orders. If you haven't yet, send a followup email to him and double check that his response isn't sitting in your junk/spam folder. He did tell me he's behind on the i88 harnesses so that may be delayed by a few days.
  20. I saw that somewhat recently too. It is doable technically but you better be a professional electronics board maker before even attempting to do such a thing
  21. Can someone confirm that the email to get ahold of David at SVXdc is 96svx.dc@gmail.com? I've sent three emails now with no response from him which seems to be unusual given others experiences.
  22. Anyone know the usual response time for SVXdc? It's probably due to the holiday season but I sent him my initial order email on the 19th hoping to get parts in during the winter break and followed up on the 23rd but haven't heard anything back yet
  23. Car hit 222 222 kms this weekend so figured I would do a mini update. Not much has changed to the car for awhile now. I had a local shop install a Moroso Oil Pickup and bought a beat up set of Volk TE37s in pretty conservative sizing for winter duties. Recently picked up a JDM Double Din conversion but need to wait for my new headunit and order a JDM Hazard switch and the necessary wiring connectors. Haven't done any car audio stuff in a long time but should be a decent project to tackle over the Christmas break
