  1. 180 mile daily commute w/ cruise control set to 79mph. During the Summer I avg 33 mpg. During the Winter it drops to 26 mpg (wish I knew why). Just passed 180,000 on the odometer.
  2. Look for Torx Screw at the base of the mount. See attached pdf of Rearview Mirror Removal/installation from the Service manual for more detail. 2016 Subaru Legacy Rearview Mirror.pdf
  3. It looks like the LH & RH headlight assemblies are adjusted as individual LH & RH units. Attached pdf of procedure (LI-34, LI-35) for reference. 2016 SUBARU LEGACY SERVICE MANUAL - HEADLIGHT BEAM ADJUSTMENT.pdf
  4. Do you have a pdf of the Service Manual so that you can look-up the diagnostics and part locations?
  5. Greetings all! Has anyone removed the front grille bracket? It's the black plastic piece fitted to the back of the grille. Seems to me that it is cosmetic and removing it would improve airflow. What are your thoughts?
  6. JD Power is bunk. Just look at all of the Chevy commercials. Yah the ones with "real people, not actors". C.R is still trustworthy IMHO.

  8. Here's the pdfAftermarket Fog Light Switch Install 2.pdf
  9. I ran into the same issue installing the OEM aftermarket fog lights. (I am assuming that this is what you are doing) There is another connector that gets plugged into the fog light switch. It is part of the Trunk unlock & Dimmer connector bundle. Black/Yellow-Green-Black/white-White wires running into an unused connector. I took some pics and will throw-together a quick pdf for you. Hope this helps.
  10. Quick answer... Looks to me like its fuse #19 (in passenger room side). Long answer... Parsed-out from the Service Manual: - Power Seat System (includes trouble symptoms) - Power Seat Memory System (diagnostics) - Power Seat System (wiring diagram) Attached the above as pdf to this thread. Good luck and please post your fix to help others who may run into this. 2016 SUBARU LEGACY SERVICE MANUAL - Power Seats.pdf
  11. I replaced mine @ 100k and used the Advance Auto Parts Wearever Platnum: https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/carquest-wearever-platinum-professional-ceramic-brake-pads-front-4-pad-set-pxd1089h/10143723-P My break use is different than most. I drive 50k per year, 95% highway, so not much heavy breaking. Still happy with the Wearever Platnums. Good bang for the buck for me. Be ready to deal with the rear e-brakes. There is at least one other thread discussing brake pads you can read through: https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/brake-pads-rotors-241413.html?t=241413&highlight=break+pad
  12. Fun discussion everyone! ncted Mine seem pretty white (no blue) to me. Have them in: - Legacy - '13 Kia Soul (after modification) - '07 Grand caravan (after modification) It is all in the eye of the beholder at the end of the day. Grnlantern1 You should be good to 120k. I replaced mine @ 109k and they were fine. See post below for pics/details: https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/installing-replacing-spark-plugs-262717.html?p=5777673&highlight=plugs#post5777673 spencerone I'm planning to get it replaced next week sometime. Definitely get additional insurance coverage especially with the eyesight. There's a whole adjustment and check (ES-12 in the service manual) of the stereo camera that needs to be accomplished with the windshield replacement. I purposely got my model without the Eyesight as I see it as another whiz-bang (expensive) gizmo to fail.
  13. I'm at 165,000+ miles on my '16 daily commuter. Biggest issue so far for me is the windshield failure. Solid preventative maintenance is key IMHO for longevity and I always do my own. I suggest spend the $$ and download the full service manual pdf. This forum has also been an invaluable resource. Odds are pretty good that most problems have been resolved, or at least discussed here at length. I've done many mods but you mention specifically headlights... These LED Headlights are what have had installed for about 6 months: Lo beam https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GKPR452/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Hi beam https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GKC818Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Note on the Hi beam that they will come on as DRLs. Much less expensive than Diode Dynamics and 2 yr warranty.
  14. I'm at 165k and bearings seem to be fine. I plan to replace all of them as well as several other things at 200k.
  15. It looks like is can be replaced fairly easily as long as you are handy working on cars and are aware of airbag removal precautions and procedures. I believe a new 83158AL00A switch assembly is whats needed and looks to be $37.68 here: https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_2015_Legacy-25L-CVT-4WD-Limited/SWITCH-ASSEMBLY-STEERING/60018304/83158AL00A.html I extracted the relevant pages from the manual. Hope this helps and PLEASE BE CAREFUL when working with airbags. MID Switch.pdf
  16. I have attached a few pages from the manual showing location of the Knock Sensors and some P0327 info. Hope it helps. 2016 SUBARU LEGACY - Knock Sensor and P0327.pdf
  17. I had to drill as well (but was not expecting to). Flap has a hole, body needs a hole to match. Wasn't an issue once complete.
  18. Just replaced mine @ 160k miles as I was getting intermittent starting issues which I can't take a chance on with by daily driver and needed quick replacement. After research I went with O'Reilly Super Start Extreme Part# 34EXT: https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/b/extreme-5361/battery-accessories-16452/battery---automotive-16864/battery-12836/aa237490c00e/super-start-extreme-group-size-34-top-post-battery/34extj/4742603/2016/subaru/legacy?manufacturer=true&pos=3 Could have chosen the size 24 but it only had 750 CCA and weighed 43.7 lbs. The size 34 had 800 CCA and weighed 41.0 lbs. Even though their website states that "Part Doesn't Fit 2016 Legacy", it fit just fine. It comes with a spacer on the top of the battery that you remove and snap on the bottom.
  19. Ang323, (or anyone else) Can you be more specific regarding the "solenoid"? 151k miles without CVT fluid change.
  20. Posted a video of me manually retracting the e-brake using needle-nose pliers. Neg battery was disconnected AND e-brake connector removed. It's very clumsy but you should be able to duplicate.
  21. I believe this is the Service Bulletin Being Discussed 12-192-15R. There may be a later revision. Windshield Cracking Concerns 113183-12-192-15R.pdf
  22. Just replaced mine this weekend at 109K miles in my 2016 Legacy. The battery tray mount bolts (you know the two) were the toughest part of the job for me. I ended up leaving them out as the four remaining are more than adequate to secure it. Picked this up from Amazon and it was perfect with the extensions I already had on hand. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A444E80/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Ordered new plugs directly from NGK. Pic shows How they looked next to new one.
