  1. Regarding your image "what do these switches control?"... The first one is the Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) OFF. The second one is the Blind Spot Detection/Rear Cross Traffic Alert (BSD/RCTA) OFF. Quick cut/paste from the owners manual:
  2. Hi Bill, I used a spent gift card and work it around the fuel door when in a pinch (saves the paint) and timed my fill-ups after being in the garage. This is a known issue for SOA and is addressed with Service Bulletin 12-226-17R (there may be a later revision). Your '19 should be eligible to have the SB accomplished for free and should take less than an hour or so. Attached are: SB 12-226-17R Service Manual sections referencing the "Saucer Assembly" If your mechanic skills are above average, there is a very good video showing this replacement as well: Fuel Door Sticking Closed in Cold Weather - 12-226-17R.pdf Remote Openers.pdf
  3. fastrat37 Disregard previous... Didn't read your full symptoms. Assuming fuses are all good, the intermittent nature (and disregarding TSB 07-152-19R at the moment) leads me to suspect a failed relay. You may want to check on the Power Window Relay.
  4. On my 2016... It only will give you "TPMS" message when the tire pressure on one or more tires is low. On my 2019... It provides the pressure of each tire on the central display.
  5. I agree with Philistine. Likely optional Fog Light harness. Pic should help you decipher... Thread has more details on the optional fog light installation. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/fog-lights-wireing-279227.html?t=279227&highlight=fog
  6. This may be what you need.2015-17MY LegacyOutback Body Repair Manual - Under Hood Measurements.pdf
  7. Figured this was as good a place as any to post an update. 2016 Legacy 2.5 Premium 188k miles. Second spark plug replacement (see previous post for 109k replacement) I'm glad I left out the two PITA battery tray bolts. Saved a bunch of time and cursing. Engine was running just fine. However... Based on my findings (side electrodes were toast), I let these go too long and will replace again at 60k as per the Service Manual scheduled maintenance interval.
  8. Attached is the Parking Brace Actuator section from the 2016 Legacy Service Manual. Shows the harness replacement procedure. 2016 SUBARU LEGACY SERVICE MANUAL - Parking Brake Actuator.pdf
  9. You are correct Ctrain7093. However, I would like the convenience of leaving the lights on "Auto" and full control of high beams (like in my 2016 Legacy). I'll start experimenting this weekend and report findings.
  10. 2019 Legacy 2.5 Sport. Has anyone disabled the HBA (High Beam Assist)? I don't like it and would rather not pay to have the dealer plug-in to disable it. I haven't downloaded the 2019 Sport Service Manuel yet to look into inserting a disable switch. Can it be as simple as covering (with a cap or tape) the front of the High Beam Assist Camera? Is this Camera integrated into the Eyesight system?
  11. 189k 2016 Premium. Bought new, December 30, 2015.
  12. Test drove two (Sport & Touring) 2020's. While the Sport didn't have the Driver focus or front camera, the other 'enhancements' were still showstoppers for me based on the type of driving that I have done, and, will be doing.
  13. Picking up our second 6th gen legacy. Currently driving 2016 Limited that now has 188k miles due to my daily commute. Passing it on to my kid. Getting a 2019 Sport. Hard pass on the 7th gen due to: - Start/Stop (only temporary disable unless using hard-wired switch) - GDI (with my miles, I'd need to have intake valve cleaning every six months) - Driver focus system (too distracting for me) - Infotainment stumble (bigger isn't always better) - Front camera (not sure what this will do except need constant cleaning)
  14. I agree. More needless tech (like the electric e-brake).
  15. On my '16.... 1. It only tells me that my tire pressure is low, not which one, and not what he pressure is. 2. When replacing tires, you need to go to a tire store/dealer/garage to re-flash (re-link the replaced tire to the car). It would be nice if there was the ability to do this ourselves. For those who use winter tires, and have purchased a full-size spare wheel & tire. (I have a 180mi commute and don't want the speed limitations of the doughnut if I get a flat)
  16. Have they made any improvements to the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as compared to the Sixth Gen?
  17. I really hope that an inoperative fog light will not require replacing the entire assembly. Checked here: https://parts.subaru.com/productSearch.aspx?ukey_make=5806&ukey_model=89998&modelYear=2020&ukey_driveline=53362&ukey_trimlevel=107087&searchTerm=fog Looking at the picture, it might be a standard H11 style bulb. If so, just go aftermarket.
  18. What are your thoughts on the Direct Injection engine that is in the 2020? Our 2016 came with Indirect Injection (helps clean the valves). I drive 50k/year and worry about carbon buildup. Was this a topic of discussion during your sale?
  19. I'm debating the 2020 at this time. Just like you, currently have a 2016. Curious about your thoughts on: - Infotainment (Looks like a hassle to do simple things, bigger screen=even more sun glare?) - Front looking camera (can it be used at any speed, is it useful?) - Stop/Start (I already don't care for this) - Facial recognition (useful?)
  20. I'm looking at getting the 2020 after enjoying my 2016 for over 182K miles. Hard pass on this as it seems like something else that can fail. IF I go with the 2020, it will be the first system I bypass with a positive always-on/always off switch.
  21. Picked these up last year. Served me well so far: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHJTVTY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AZOJB2O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
