  1. So I read this is as "I was on my project Subaru status and decided to buy something that runs while I work on project, found another project car so I am 2 project cars in while still maybe looking for a DD"
  2. Sounds great to me, let us know here when you toss up that sale thread
  3. idk if you can sand that stuff down but the buyer can just do some light sanding to clean it up, I dont care if its perfect just if I can get it in black would be the plus for me as I plan to paint the silver trimming black to math the JDM dash better
  4. yes, I would be interested on your final build if you would be willing to make extra for sale. I don't have a 3D printer unfortunately but I might have access to one if you share the files
  5. how big is your Generator? Me and the wife have discussed in having one for power backup but havent looked much into it
  6. Yea, the 27700NEX does RMS Power of 22 watts with a Peak Output of 50 watts while the Morel Speakers I have can take a Maximum RMS of 90 watts and a Peak Power Handling of 180 watts. Crutchfield doesn't list a minimum RMS needed so I might toss them in, they even added some speaker harness to connect the factory harness to aftermaket kit so I dont have to splice them in. Edit: Looks like I was living in 2025 lol the real model number of my headunit is 2660NEX not 2770NEX. Started to realized there was an issue with the model number when google searches were coming back kind of wild
  7. yes, I bought that fancy cabin filter from Rock Auto ---> Carbon Filter Particulate Filter; Activated Carbon, was only $10 but man was it a pain to change. My old filter was nasty and I could smell the air in the cabin kinda musty. If you havent changed it in a while, make sure you check the hamster wheel and to make sure nothing is living in there lol.
  8. if the image is just an .iso would Rufus not function the same without the error? I had issues with ImgBurn in the past and have moved to Rufus for iso that write bootable information on to mediums Edit: Ignore this, forgot this is a DVD burn, Rufus is more for USB
  9. What year is that radio out of?
  10. Good to know, thanks. I prolly wont swap the trim unless I get a crazy deal on it but damn annoying
  11. Hey Shogun, Taking a look at your videos, in your audio install I seen originally you tapped into the OEM speaker wires for your doors, but in the amp install video I see you ran the blue KnuKoncepts speaker wires back into behind the head unit. Did you just solder the blue 12 gauge wires to the OEM speaker wires? Also I know you mentioned in the speaker video that you dont plan to sell the car so you didnt care about removing the connectors on the front and rear doors but wouldnt the safer move been to cut the speaker connections from the aftermarket harness so the stock harness stays pretty intact? Asking for my reference, I installed the Pioneer 2770NEX in my car and got some components waiting to install. I dont know if I want to wait to get the amp or just go ahead and install the speakers. I think I should be fine without the amp for now but unsure, learning CarAV as I go
  12. I installed my new headunit on my car yesterday, looks hella clean and fits a lot better than that Joying pos I had in there before and routed a usb cable to the center console for AndroidAuto or USB music. Also why did Subaru make it so difficult to change the cabin filter in our car? seems like too many things to remove for something that needs to be replaced frequently
  13. Tried to do a 4-wheel brake job on my car today, not having a lift sucks ass also those bracket bolts on the rears are a pain. Best part of everything is I spray down with brake cleaner the rear rotors I got from RockAuto, they aint the right ones. Got to give them a call on monday, I double checked the part numbers between an 05 and an 06 rear rotors and though the part numbers say the same thing, the 06 Rotors are listed as "GT Model" (which is what I have)...sigh...
  14. Sorry bro, my condolences. Let us know if you want to talk.
  15. Depends on your end goal, some people like to keep the stock radio since the Auto Climate Control requires splicing cables together on when using the JDM Bezel, I personally already have an aftermarket headunit and want to add the tablet to display BtSsm and maybe GPS data if the headunit GPS map gui isn't great.
  16. Also check around the town/city/state website, I know my town has been organizing free Covid 19 testing every other or so week. I signed up to for the towns alert system and got a text last week that they plan to hold an event this weekend but its appt based
  17. absurd. I looked at that FB post and that guy was selling his version for $65 as of last year. Interested in what you come up with though
  18. There are people who relocated the clock to where the ash tray location is. In the 3D develop thread someone posted this find on FB: https://www.facebook.com/347833012660792/posts/535040893940002?d=n&sfns=mo Also found this thread: https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/clock-relocation-clock-replacementi-39632.html
  19. Nice Job, looks good now you just got to paint it black and looks legit. I ended up taking a look at head unit sizing just for reference. The Chinese Android units list having a dimensions of 178mm x 102mm for their 7" size, I found that a standard double din radio size is 180 x 100.3 mm pane since it goes by the ISO 7736.
  20. Wish you the best boxkita, I been staying inside unless its groceries or picking up some food. We did eat at a couple of restaurant outdoor seating recently though, 1 restaurant we had the whole outdoor area to ourselves till we were almost done eating and people started to show up but no one got close. I haven't drove my car in almost 2 months or so, mainly due to not buying brakes and procrastinating on doing them but also since like I have nowhere to go.
  21. Amazing information, def sticky needed. MVP of the month for sure
  22. Yea, I got the JDM kit in my car and the Android headunits do not fit flush. Like I mentioned I have the Joying now and Heiche (member here who I bought my car from) had the Pumpkin Android unit. On the cubby for the Nexus 7 that every one does, I believe the Nexus 7 doesnt fill the hole 7" but it fills enough where you can use electrical tape to block off the light creeps. I bought a 7" cubby from someone on this forum a few weeks back and I am currently staging my Nexus and Audio install so I do it all in 1 go. I know that that Nexus at some point is going to start degrading so this cubby you found would be awesome, and I probably might buy one when I get some more funds after all these projects end so I have it on hand for when the Nexus dies since it is getting real hard to find a 7" tablet that is worth buying, though finding a 10" is easy. Also, there are 2 cubby versions iirc a 7" and an 8". Shogun sold 1 of each (which I bought the 7" one) on this post https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/canada-7-and-8-cubby-bezels-nexus-7-8-tablet-281485.html?t=281485 which I just found he is selling a 2013 Nexus 7"
  23. RIP, wish you sold this when you sold the cubby..bought a 2012 for $30 which I am currently getting ready to toss in.
  24. That looks like Atoto head unit, which I also think dont use USA double din sizing, I got a Joying head unit and it is def not right dimensions.
