  1. You may be interested in speaking with user BagRiderJohn, he has a build thread here: John Hall's 2007 Spec-B DD Build. He has mentioned having previous cars on air suspension and he will be doing the same to his current project I believe
  2. 2 Questions: What remote starter did you install and does it have the safety mechanism? How much did the powercoat cost on the calipers? My car has the same but it looks like the owner who installed it, painted them black. I would like do get them done in red.
  3. Also the plastic you see in the door isnt for air filtration, its a moisture barrier since the metal part of the door will experience condensation and stuff. The barrier is there so the leather, and other organic materials dont get soggy and moldy.
  4. Processing may not be the best description, but the tweeter does take the frequencies that it needs and sends along the rest of the signal to the main driver, so the signal in the main drivers wires may not reflect the same signal that comes from the HU. Which I mean the wires are right there so why not get source wires instead of wires that already went through another device. I am not a sound expert but if you a component set, it comes with a tweeter to install so there isnt a need to leave the stock tweeter.
  5. Almost forgot to update this but here is a YT video from Shogun506 that he posted on his build thread Ryan's Double Unicorn that he shows you step by step on replacing the speakers in his LGT: , you will see in the video that there isnt a crossover pre-installed in the car. I think most car manufacturers actually dont install crossovers in the vehicle since most people are fine with the way cheaper sound system sound. Crutchfield is usually a very good source of information, the only 2 things of information I do not listen to them about is their in-house amps aren't that great from what users in the CarAV subreddit say and they told me I couldn't install a headunit in my LGT (technically it is true). I also have a set of components I plan to install soon, I bought from Crutchfield the Morel Maximo 6 and like that they included the speaker wires needed so I dont have to cut form the OEM harness to wire them in. Let me know if you have any questions, I think I am installing my set tomorrow depending on weather. Lots of links and info..sorry
  6. There isn't a stock crossover in the car, one the members here had a YouTube video on his progress report his front and rear speakers. Curly on my phone but will follow back in a few with his video and info
  7. I went the aftermarket route with the link zmarko tossed in with the JDM kit. My car did not come with the Nav so I'm not sure how much extra difficult it makes replacing the radio. You can always remove the nav and go with a tablet install in that area to compliment the aftermarket radio.
  8. I mean, I will take them if you can hold them for a bit, the wife's family lives in fitchburg and she kinda goes there almost ever other weekend. I can meet you halfway between fitchburg and amherst. Might even happen this weekend, got to see what her plans are
  9. food for thought, maybe spraying it with PlastiDip to get rid of the 3D printer look. If you have an junk version, probably a good way to test
  10. Is something I wish I new before I bought my Android Unit years ago, it really got slow and having weird issues.
  11. Im out of the South Shore, I feel the same about some Subaru crowds. I have to start finding a contractor to see the cost of building a 2 car garage, convinced the wife its a smart move so I can get a car lift . Hopefully I can afford this
  12. Just got my clock relocation piece, looks pretty solid and doesnt have any blemishes. Thanks bruh
  13. I am pretty sure I am buying 1 from you so you can consider only having 4 available lol
  14. Yea, if I learned anything from the people at work about BlackMagic stuff is that it is super good quality but can be delicate. I would def look for something to toss over the lens to protect it, high res cameras like those are very very sensitive to dust and other debris. I will also look forward to whatever you toss out. Seems like a cool project
  15. yea, I have explored the idea of buying a 3D printer but stopped cuz adding more projects and electronics to my life would cause yelling by the wife. Already running some decent equipment in the basement.
  16. Thats a big boy camera, idk if I ever would put one of those mounted on my car and not freak out if a rock hit it in some way
  17. yea, I am going to wait for EatingInternet final build, his is probably the same thing but at a more reasonable rate.
  18. biggest issue I have when working on cars now is my driveway isnt flat or cement, heavy dislike working on asphalt in the sunniest of all days (which seems to be every time I want to work on my car)
