  1. Between the rise in Covid and Wildfire smoke coming from the West, the East Coast should probably start masking up again...I swear the Air index a couple days ago was in the yellow, red...not great
  2. I feel like there is a lot of double-speak mainly due to the chance of whatever statement said being taken out-of-context or being used in propaganda against something. The original vaccine was to counter a original mutation, with the delta variance and who knows what else is coming down the pipeline with such lax vaccination rates, so people on both sides like to take earlier statement and use them for their narratives. From my end, I know I got vaccinated due to trying to be aware of my surrounding family which were at a higher risk for the more severe reaction and for myself to avoid severe reaction. I know there is a chance I can get it but I rather have a tough cold than be stuck in the emergency room feeling like death. The only thing I wished the medical professionals could pinpoint better is what factors really lead to such severe reactions, like "you have higher levels of protein so you may experience this or that" or something.
  3. I would still have them diag the location and grab pics then talk to Subaru of America and see whats up since they will be the one to approve the payment of replacement under warranty or not. That is my current process since there is a chance they will pay for it under warranty
  4. The owner of Quirk has a lot of Real Estate in Quincy/Braintree so he can bankroll a lot of it, at one point (I only know this since I worked part of their ground facilities when I was younger) the space between the Subaru and Chevy used to have a bunch of different model corvettes he collected and used the space to showcase them. He also got sued a couple years ago due to illegal wages pay practices but I do not know if he was in on it and if it was just the dealership GMs skimming. He does have a lot of brands he sells
  5. I called Quirk Subaru in Quincy, MA to have my car towed there for the Airbag recall and for them to check out my brakes situation, and Service Agent said that they do not diagnose vehicles older than 10 years or more than 100k miles. I was like "Excuse me, that seems like a terrible policy. Its a Subaru, not a Yugo". He responded "Unfortunately, that is our dealership policy, you can tow it in for the Airbag, we will gladly take care of that but we wont diagnose the brake issue", was so frustrated I hung up on the dude while he was talking. Got another Subaru Dealership to put me down on the schedule but kinda pissed since the other dealership is further away. Don't know if this is something SoA should be aware of.
  6. I initially notice it pop when I was at a stop light and the brake pedal went from hard to softer. I could definitely tell there was an issue, braking was not snappy, I was driving inside the city and along a route so speed was under 40 MPH for the most part. I been in cars without brakes before so it wasn't something new. I knew I had the e-brake available w/ the brake pedal if needed a sudden stop but mostly it was a giving myself a lot of room to slowly stop till I got home. I mean, in general, most of your braking is done in the front of the car anyways so while I really dont advise driving in those conditions, I did not feel it was dire for me to stop and get a tow home.
  7. Nice, this is always the harder part since its sucks buying something only to dislike it months later and taking a hit on re-selling it
  8. Yea, I ended up checking it out and have towing through my insurance. Planning to have them tow it once I inform the dealership that it's coming but want to wait till after my wife gets her second shot tomorrow since I have no clue how she going to feel afterwards yet. Want to be prepared for dealing with a sick wife and a month old baby, lol cant also be dealing with Subaru
  9. RIP, my brake line busted last week. Called SoA to try to get ahead on the claim part as it looks to be the "fixed" brake line recall issue. Got to tow it to the local Subaru shop for them to confirm my suspicion and do the air bag recall. SoA agent told me they wont open the case till an authorized Subaru looks at it and then they can decide the methodology going forward. I did find the Brake line thread which I will perform if they said they aint covering it but hopefully they see the error in their ways. Plan to file a issue with NHTS depeding on the answers.
  10. My brake lines just blew a couple days ago, called SoA and informed them. They need to have an authorized Subaru shop look at it before they can make a decision on whether they will cover it or not. Need to tow my car over to the local Subaru at some point this week. Ugh, pain in the butt
  11. not going to lie, I would like another trip to Portland..it was fun going in 2019 but will have to wait a while till the baby is grown a little bigger
  12. A buddy of mine put me on to these QuickJacks, I thought about it but seeing as ya'll have them, I might think harder on getting them. 7k lb one should fit my wife's grand cherokee also so I might roll that way
  13. I prolly will still mask up even tho I been vaccinated, I dont trust others and I recently got a newborn and my wife didnt get the vaccine while pregnant as a precaution. Dont want to be a stat just cuz others dont like masks.
  14. "and expensive" Those pods aint cheap, lol would be cheaper just to get a custom A-Pillar cluster with all the gauge pods you want.
  15. I am happy I didnt do the deletes cuz then I would be selling them right back out lol.
  16. I would like to see this in action, I grabbed all the stuff to do the N7 install but couldnt get a 2nd gen for a reasonable price so I have a gen 1 N7 but the images available for me to flash it are getting hard to find. I can be easily convinced to do the Tab S2, just wonder fitting
  17. So at the beginning of April I went ahead and bought the Nameless 5" Muffler Axleback set, welp it finally arrived on May 22nd, installed it this past Sunday. Very pleased with the set up though it might be a little too loud but we will see
  18. Finally pulled the trigger and bought the Nameless 5" Axleback kit, now the waiting process...
  19. how loud is it, I am thinking of buying these in the future.
  20. so thats the thing, the midpipe isnt OE, 1 of the previous owners tossed in a bigger midpipe from the cat. I think the 5inch muffler is the move
  21. I will take a look when I have a chance, have a fear that if I remove the mufflers right now I wont be able to get them back on. I think they may be kinda rusty, that New England weather
