  1. Reached out on the app. let's see if I get a response on details. It has been listed 16 days so we'll see if it is even still available.
  2. Did the 2010s not come with a sunroof? Or were there just more than 1 trim for that year? I honestly might go check it out I could probably get that much for my 2013 2.5i.. Edit: I just want to make sure it is in fact a GT, or if they buyer managed to get a set of wheels and hood on there.
  3. Installed LED bulbs for the license plate lights. Needed them to pass safety inspection done today. Wish they could be colored, state mandates white light.
  4. Got my name added to the title with my wife and transferred my custom plate to the car . (now I just need to find a black GT for sale and I can just swap them on the way home.. she'll never know) also. huzzah for post 100!
  5. Happened on mine maybe 3ish yrs ago? (at least thats when I noticed it since my wife mostly drove the car) Could hear it rattle every now and then and procrastinated fixing it until maybe a year ago. Wasn't the clip, but the glue that failed on the center mounting point. Managed to squeeze a small bottle of gorilla glue up there. To keep it tight, I propped a paper towel roll between the top of the seat and the liner for the night. Any object sized properly would work, but I found the paper towel roll being a good solution as it didn't cause a permanent 'dent' to the liner or seat cushions. There were some small markings that went away within a day. It's held great since, even with black paint and sitting in the sun quite a few times (the past week being 100+ degrees outside).
  6. At this point I'd rather buy a MT 5th gen legacy over the current WRX MTs. Wish they'd make another LGT as it'd be an easy decision for a next car. I find the Legacys way above Imprezas in interior and ride quality (not quite as go-kart-ish tho) and more enjoyable to drive around in. The new legacys look ugly to me though.. too mainstream on the design and the wheels *barf*. I guess I'll hold out for the refresh on the WRX/STI and hope there is slightly more leg room in the back with some more comfort options and that larger HP. IF not, my days of Subie are done.
  7. Danke! I never scroll that far down to even know they existed until now. Also enabled dark mode! woot. thanks.
  8. So starting yesterday the site started displaying German. I def haven't changed any language settings here or in my browser. Can someone please send instructions on where to change this setting and perhaps provide insight in to why it may have happened? I know a little bit of german, but not enough to get me to the language pref settings page. Thanks.
  9. No scientific data here and could just be placebo, but I have a '13 2.5i and was noticing some slight knocking on start up and a some lag when getting on it (car is at 170k miles, mind you). Dumped some 91 in there for 2 fill ups (noticed slightly lower mpg actually), and then used high mileage fuel additive the following 2 fill ups of 87. Car seems to be running a bit more smoothly now and my mpg has gone back up to about 25, where as it was dipping to 23/24. Still plan to do some maintenance to address potential carbon build up and/or other high mileage wear.
  10. K&N cabin air filter. Set of 4 OEM replacement TPMS sensors.
  11. Warm water and dawn soap.. wiped down back and front seats and then shop vac'd them. 170k miles of dog and passengers + my sweaty ass in the front seat after workouts was giving some not so good wiffs. Still some 'spill' marks in the passenger seat that I don't ever recall happening (probably the wife) and the water seemed to surface them out. Will do a rd 2 this weekend to clean those things up. Didn't get pics since I knocked it out after getting home from work and the gym. Also replaced the cabin air filter (done 30k miles ago March '18) with a K&N cleanable one. Old one was pretty mucked up. While vaccing the floors, discovered a screw under the front passenger floor mat 0.0 . Worried it dropped when I opened the glove box for the filter, and was sitting somewhere up there from the airbag recall. Which means there is a screw not where its supposed to be.. f#$k
  12. I've been hoping more would show up at rental facilities, especially in the PNW. I never see them there at National. Always mazdas, toyotas, and nissans.
  13. Not today, but before I left for vacation last week I did a full wash and clay bar on the front bumper and hood. Nice and smooth, perfect for showing off all of the rusted rock chips and swirl marks Also did a degreaser session on the engine bay. Not great, but better than before.
  14. Drove a Mazda 6 all last week as a rental.. terrible throttle response, bad window angles/views and laggy suspension and had me missing my subies. But hot damn... why cant Subaru get their interior right!?
  15. I need to start channeling here.. my wife might kill me if I keep talking her ear off about the cars I would like next The inevitable larger SUV: BMW X5/X7, Volvo XC 90, 4Runner, or Tahoe, (maybe Ascent) The potentials depending on current car remaining daily: Supra, older 911, M2/M4, F-type The potentials if swapping current 2.5i: LGT, M3, STI (if new gens get moar), Jag XF Ideal scenario would be to swap for a lower mileage LGT sometime next year as it's cheaper/fun/familiar, get a nicer SUV, and then save up for whatever 2 dr sports coupe I want
  16. This one does as well: https://www.chantillyautosales.com/details/used-2011-subaru-legacy/53375594 Only a few minutes from me ;( I want so bad. Stupid house savings.
  17. I need to do a good claying as well as some paint correction. I've been following 'Shine Doctor' on instagram and he swears by rotary buffers. I'm sure he has a higher skill bar, but I've got a 7in rotary in the garage I'm about to put to work!
  18. Great info, thanks! I'll definitely do the oil analysis and ask the shop to perform a compression test and exhaust leak test (I could probably do myself, but rather not). I also thought it odd that they don't recommend a coolant flush often (I think I read somewhere every 11 yrs or something random). Still undecided on the mounts, but I'm sure they're abused from PA winters. Will most likely do them for peace of mind. It's probably me being paranoid, but I feel as though I can feel some shaking at certain times during idle or specific RPM. The thing about the boxer engines is it's easier to feel the shakes horizontally, vs vertical vibrations working against gravity. And something I found out around 125k is they don't have the typical timing belt, but a chain instead. I guess it can be adjusted based on readings. So took care of the water pump, drive belt, pulleys, and tensioners then. Don't plan on revisiting those before the car is gone.
  19. Sure, all of my data can be found via the dark web anyway 2013 2.5i Limited - Crystal Black Silica 28 y/o - married for almost 4 yrs. 1 doggo. 1 cat Software Engineer in DC metro area Owned a 2000 Nissan Sentra 5MT through HS and college. Engine blew up after 6mo starting my 1st job, so was forced into my first subie in Feb '14 - an '08 Impreza 2.5i 5MT (was hoping to save for another year for a WRX). The wife (then gf) owned the legacy new from the lot (sept 2012). I inherited full time this past March after we bought our collective 3rd Subaru, a '17 FXT, while trading away the Impreza. Mods: Just suspension, of course. Koni w/H&Rs, Superpro and whiteline bushings, thicker RSB. Only some tint for cosmetics. Not sure I'll do much more. Next car... Maybe a subaru??? I really like the BMW X5s and the new X7. I'm a luxury snob at heart, but a performance junky in the foot.
  20. The only thing I could think is that as the car's components age and run over time, the computer takes in the different variables from sensors and mechanics that works to improve the efficiency of the vehicle (which would be much different from a 0 mile car). The computer being re-learned could cause some disparity between the 'real' function of the car and the 'ideal' model the program has when shipped with a new car. All of this is me just spit-balling w/out any experience in Automotive computer chips and programming, but software engineering experience based on input and variable programming in general. One could also make the argument that the re-learned program would cause the vehicle's sensors and components to function to spec rather than everything work together in a harmonious, but inefficient way.
  21. I've always stuck to the maintenance intervals and will remain to do so, but I'm trying to determine the parts that may be worthwhile to get done over the next 2 months so I don't need to worry about it later (i.e. approaching and past 200k). I'll need to do the 180k service next year and am budgeting that out, so the goal here is to absorb some cost now on potential unforeseen bits rather than when I (hopefully) buy a house next year as well. What I plan/thinking to do over the next 2 months at ~170k miles that aren't included in normal maintenance guidelines: Coolant flush along with radiator hose and clamp replacements. anyone else do this and at what miles/why? Engine and/or transmission mounts - is this really needed for efficiency or just nice to have for ride quality? 02 sensor replacement - I'm thinking this will help my MPGs and overall engine running (use to get 28ish, now around 25mpg) Any experience with the brands in the attached photo (otherwise I'll just get Bosch)? exhaust leak test and seal if any putting some fuel additive the next 2/3 fillups Valve Spring replacement or cleaning - last time at the shop it was mentioned some noise coming from that area. I'd have them do that work most likely. Insight is much appreciated. I know there aren't a whole lot of us with high mileage 5th gens, and some of you GT folks like to replace all your parts at any given time anyway but just trying to clean the car up for the long haul so i don't have to buy a new car due to death (last 2 times), but can choose my next toy while having a low cost daily. It's been a great steed thus far.
  22. Enable mode! Some Konis for sale on Nasioc: https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2899143
  23. Put the new ramps to use today.. hose clamped a loose heat shield. the shield completed rusted away from the bolt Side note, are there supposed to be additional shields covering the pipe and resonator? Based on some the scraping damage down there I wouldn't doubt them getting ripped off at some point...
  24. Not necessarily just for the legacy, but bought some rhino ramps so I can finally get under it. Had to buy a 2x8 board, cut into 2 3ft pieces and 2 1ft pieces in order to pull up onto the 17 degree incline... thanks H&R for the 1.5in drop!
  25. Looks like she got just the tip on that one. Just pull it out and rub it clean! The tip of the tree, the dent in the trunk, and the finish of the paint.
