  1. Anybody interested in a lunch or dinner meet next weekend?
  2. As long as you stock the house with alcohol and women, we won't notice the difference.
  3. You forgot the VTEC badge... Did you get the LGT Megan or OB Megan? If you guys have the meet on 6/21 or 22 I will be in. The g/f is going out of town that weekend so I'm free to play with the boys. Assuming I don't get in another car accident that is...
  4. Which coilover did you go with?
  5. I run Hawk Blue in my Z for track days. They hold up pretty well at State Patrol track for me, and the Z is about 300 lbs heavier than the LGT. They are Hawk's track pads, a step up from HP+. Don't know if they make them for LGT though.
  6. Here: http://castlerockrotary.com/ Apparently car show is new for this year. But you could win $1 million dollars in the "Ducky Derby"...
  7. It's in Castle Rock town square. Take I-25 to the Plumb Creek exit, go east on Plumb Creek and then turn north on Wilcox. It's not a big town so it shouldn't be hard to find. The show time is 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
  8. Speaking of meet, there is a car show in Castle Rock this Saturday (5/10). It's some sort of charity thing, Z car club is trying to get a big group going. I have never been to this one before so don't know what kind of cars will be there. There is suppose to be some "Rubber Ducky Race" too, with price money...
  9. IIRC, Outback MR coilovers at the highest setting is about stock OB ride height.
  10. I tested out a few different settings when I first got the coilovers, but once I found the setting I like I pretty much left it as is. LGT is not my track car, but I do change the damper settings on the Z for track days. Changing the damper settings is fairly easy so you can do that before the track day and change it back afterwards. The preload and ride height on the other hand would take about a hour or two to change, not something that I would do regularly.
  11. The problem as I see is that the Megan's spring rate is too stiff for LGT's weight. IIRC, it's 6kg/cm front and 8kg/cm rear. For reference here is a list of popular aftermarket springs for the LGT: Basically what this means is that you have to run zero pre-loads and set the dampers to one of the softest settings to make it livable on the street.
  12. Megan has 2 versions, the OB version is more comfortable than the sedan version. But with the OB version you can't lower the car much from stock height, ~0.25"-0.5" at most. I have the OB version on my car and with the softest setting it's pretty "stock-like" IMO. We can go for a ride at the next meet so you can get a feel for it... Anyway, not sure if I want to do this track day or not. The ZCCC has 2 days at the new high plains raceway that I want to go to first.
  13. According to his profile he hasn't been online since beginning of the March. That is rather odd.
  14. Can't do this Friday but I would be game if it's next Friday.
  15. I don't know, I think my Ion rental will get more attention.
  16. I'm sure my car will still be in the shop, I guess I will just have to show off the jdm spec b bumper on the next meet.
  17. Damn that sucks Brett, sorry to hear that.
  18. See page 1 of this thread for all the gory details. Ted the Mod is pretty good about updating the thread.
  19. It's right wheel drive for fuel efficiency though. As I said, it's a good commuter and nothing says a lightweight FWD car couldn't be fun to drive as well.
  20. Nice, always like the CRX's, especially the later ones. Honda is going to make a new CRX that's a hybrid. The concept is call CR-Z, pretty cool car, might be a good little commuter. http://www.uncrate.com/men/images/2007/10/honda-cr-z.jpg http://www.uncrate.com/men/images/2007/10/honda-cr-z-2.jpg
  21. I don't know, HHR might be better than the Ion, tough call there.
  22. Thanks for the thoughts guys. The body shop won't be able to get to it until Friday or Monday so I will see what they say. I have a $500 deductible but insurance company should pay for the rest. I'm pretty sure I'm going to do the jdm bumper and at least have something good come out of the accident. BTW, I got a Saturn Ion as a rental car, what a POS... I think I will be driving the Z instead of that POS if weather is nice.
  23. Yeah, no one is hurt, thanks for asking. I rear ended this lady on the way home. Basically everyone in front of her did a panic stop and she did too. I couldn't see over her SUV so I didn't get any warning and couldn't stop in time. I doubt I hit her at more than 10 mph. My airbag didn't even go off. She has a Vue so my front end just slide right underneath her bumper and did bunch of damage to my car but hardly any to her car. It looks like I would at least need a front bumper, hood, headlights, grill and maybe fenders. I'm guessing my radiator and some of the plumbing up front will need to be replaced too. Just pm'd japanparts to see what kind of $$$ and shipping time I'm looking at for a JDM spec B bumper. I think I like the '08 version better but I'm not sure if it would fit without getting a lot more parts. I will keep you guys updated.
  24. Bad news guys, got in an accident last night and bashed the front of the car in. I don't think I will be able to come down to help you guys out until I get this sorted out. Maybe I can at least get a JDM bumper out of this mess...
  25. Yea, I would agree. It's about 40 min from the Academy to Castle Rock and about another 40 min from Castle Rock to DIA. I have a feeling bsdzine is picking up his g/f. If her flight is getting in at 7:00 I would try to get to the airport 7:30-7:40 and just park at the 45min waiting area. Just have her give you a call after she got her luggage and pick her up at the terminal. Fastest way to get in and out of the airport IMO.
