  1. I might be out on Saturday too. I'm trying to schedule a time to meet a local guy that's selling a set of Megan coilovers. 27th is fine with me.
  2. Ted, did you painted the pads to match the wheel color? Attention to detail I suppose.
  3. They are decals? I thought they were painted on. I didn't think any decal can withstand the temp.
  4. So who's car are we working on Saturday? I got my JDM bar installed on Saturday so I don't need any work done. Unless you guys feel like doing a flywheel/clutch install in the 300ZX. Anyway, are we meeting at Ted's place first?
  5. I'm sure your wife won't mind having her birthday party at Hooters.
  6. Add me to the list, but I'm probably not going to be doing the sleep-over.
  7. Thanks. I will try another ground when I get home tonight.
  8. Yes I'm using the cables that came with the Pro kit. The power to the docking cable is spliced from the cigarette lighter on the ash tray side. I grounded the docking cable to the chassis on the trim piece screw. The thing is even without the GLI I only get power to the iPod if I connect the docking cable to the patch cable. So somehow the RCA cables are used to complete the circuit. Should I have connected the ground to something else?
  9. OK, I think I found out why... From PAC's website the description for the GLI says: "Great for eliminating ground loop noise from radio pre-amp outputs. Perfect for eliminating DC Current from your RCA cables. Excellent at reducing most noise in your RCA signal path. • Close to perfect response of +/- .03 dB from 20-20kHz. • Unlike other manufactures which use 1:1 transformers, PAC utilizes proprietary audio transformers for a 1.3 dB gain." Never claim I was an EE... So... Any idea on how I should hook the GLI up to still get the current through to the iPod? Or is there other device I can use instead of the PAC GLI.
  10. Jazzy, got a question about GLI connection with the iPod pro kit. Right now the way it's hooked up is board -> GLI -> patch cable -> iPod line out. Is this the right way to connect the GLI, because I don't think the iPod is charging with this setup. Without the GLI in the loop the iPod's little charging icon comes on but with GLI it's not showing it's charging. But as soon as I remove the GLI from the loop the charging icon comes back up. I tried connecting the GLI in both directions with no luck. When I first install the kit I didn't put the GLI in the setup because it sounded fine without it. But I found out that once the iPod is done charging I get a buzzing/humming noise. I figure the GLI should fix this problem but now it doesn't seem to be charging anymore. Any idea?
  11. Installed my iPod kit couple of days ago. Everything works great. Like jazzy says the line out on my iPod is much louder than the headphone jack. Now I just got to find a good mounting solution.
