  1. Actually DST kicks in this Sunday so we should get an extra hour of daylight.
  2. Bring the stands if you have them. We noticed last time that most of AFA stands were a bit on the large side. We had some problem getting the car jack up high enough to use them. Ramps would also be handy for anyone working in the flat bay for fluid changes.
  3. You can have the windshield guy come to your work. He can give you a call when he gets there and you can just meet him at the parking lot. I think they like to do the replacement under some shade so just make sure there are some trees or building nearby and you should be ok.
  4. The meet is for the weekend of the 15th? Not this weekend right?
  5. Sounds like what we need is a weekly install party where a mob just goes from one person's garage to the next...
  6. I might be able to come down, depends on how far I get with getting the Z ready for the track season. My garage is filling up with parts that I need to get installed on the Z.
  7. Invoice on bare bone STI is $33k, 2% under that + $645 destination is just under $33k. Not too bad really. But I would be very tempted to add those optional $2k BBS wheels though.
  8. Unfortunately the VIP program has this language in it: "All new Subaru models are included in the VIP Program, subject to availability and dealer discretion." I get the feeling not too many dealer will be willing to let their STI participate in the VIP program right now. On the other hand, Fitzmall has 2 STI with NAV and BBS that they are willing to ship to you for $37.6k...
  9. Check with Heuberger down in COS. They gave me a pretty good deal on the LGT. Either way the STI just came out so it's going to be hard to get a good deal on them. And $35.6k MSRP for a STI is just way too much for me. That's ~$11k more than what I paid for my LGT... As far as Evo goes, I know there is a vendor on evom.net that's selling the X GSR for $31.7k, MSRP is $33.6k on those.
  10. Stop been a woman Ted, we still love you. Brake job is easier to do on the AFA lift, especially with the temperature outside in the 30's. I was going to change the oil in the LGT and then work on the Z yesterday but it was COLD in my garage. I gave up doing anything else after the oil change.
  11. ^^^ Hopefully your wife made it back in one piece. I wouldn't trust me with her brake job...
  12. Where are you guys going at 9 PM??? Is there an after party that I'm not aware of.
  13. ^^^Ted, I'm doing my coolant too.
  14. I think our problem will be that Ted is the only one with the military ID. Which means we can only get one bay IIRC. Are we going to be able to get everybody in and out with just one bay?
  15. Sounds like we will be doing a lot of 30k. I think according to the official schedule the tranny and diff fluid just needs to be inspected. But a lot of us like how the Extra-S helps with the shifting. If you would like a smoother shift get the Extra-S, otherwise I would just leave the tranny and diff fluid as is for the 30k. Oh yeah, don't forget the oil filter too... Are we meeting at your house first Ted?
  16. I'm still in. My package of Prospeed should be here today. I just need to stop by the dealer to pick up couple gallons of the coolant.
  17. ^^^ Your buddy will be great as the annoying guy for the "She's Lost That Lovin' Feeling" technique!
  18. Thanks Ted, ordered 3 bottles for the LGT and Z. Eric was extremely helpful and fast to reply. Can't wait to try them out.
  19. As of right now it's June 7th or 29th at the new High Plains Raceway, but that's contingent upon it's completion. You can read up on all the info and updates for the track at: http://www.highplainsraceway.com/index.html I'm not very optimistic that it will be done in time for the start of the track season. I'm pretty sure if the track is not done, ZCCC will be scheduling dates with the CPS track.
  20. Does he give discount to the forum members? I don't see any special that he posted in the vendor forum. I want to get a few bottles because the Z needs the brake fluid flushed before next track day too.
  21. What happened to your tranny? Next weekend is fine with me assuming we can get the Z's clutch done this weekend. I'm trying to get it done ASAP so I have enough time to break it in before the next track day. I will probably go ahead and order the coolant and brake fluid. I don't remember now, but did you guys ended up getting the Subaru coolant or just pre-mixed stuff from auto store? Ted, where did you order the Prospeed stuff from?
  22. I need to do my 30k fluid flush (coolant & brake) pretty soon here. But this weekend is no good, I'm getting a clutch put in my Z. Assuming the weather is good enough for me to take my the Z up to my buddy's place...
  23. Wow, long drive. Have a safe trip.
