  1. Did you turn the ignition to the "ON" position?
  2. Looks like you still have time to complete the challenge Ryan
  3. Check the first post for all the compatible tire sizes. Given that the stock rims are only 0.5" narrower you can use stock tires (225/55R17) with no problems. You could fit something a little wider like 235/50R17 or 235/55R17. Both of these are still OK but will introduce a little bit of speedo error. Widest tire you can fit on a 8" rim is 245 so 245/50R17 would also work and is actually closest to stock size. At the end of the day it may come down to what tires you can get a good deal on. Some sizes are more common than others and you'll generally find these are more competitively priced.
  4. Yes the idea is everyone to go out and take photos of your car. We started this back up as there were a number of people complaining that it stopped, however if there's not enough interest then maybe we shelve it for 6-12 months. I have around 5 playgrounds within a mile of my house so figured it should be an easy one. I won't post up a "save" unless you can convince me there are no playgrounds in the US.

  7. Best to contact Matt through Facebook. I'll PM you his details. But first thing is you'll need to get yourself a Tactrix cable or find someone local who has one that can help with reading and writing the tune file. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. If you get a software update for your ECU at the dealer then it will overwrite your tune file. If it's an important update you can the take a read of the ECU, send to Matt and he can then update the file for you to write back to your ECU including the service update. I did take my car back to the dealer for a recall and it involved an update to the body control module. This didn't effect the tune on my car. Now I get my car serviced at an independent workshop so that the tune doesn't accidentally get overwritten by a factory software update. It's less of an issue if you have a PC and tactrix cable but I'd have to wait for Matt to visit my city or beg one of the guys locally with a cable re-install the tune.
  9. Have a look back a few pages as RobbieGT has the tune on his 3.6R and has seen some decent improvements in his mpg. There is still a penalty for running the extra 2 cylinders, but nowhere near as large as before. Read a couple of reviews Fed H: http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5470534&postcount=248 RobbieGT's mpg: http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5468880&postcount=234 and: http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5466225&postcount=197 RobbieGT's review: http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5464594&postcount=186 Now if you're not convinced to get the tune you're crazy
  10. Yes there have been several improvements to the tune, including improved throttle maps, better cold start performance, optimization for higher octane fuel, error code delete for high flow cat/headers and probably a few other bits that I've missed. So there's definitely been some further development of the files for the gen6 over the past 12 months or so. I'm not sure there is much more to go for the standard file as it is maturing, however there is a flex tune being developed for E85 and then also development of a file for the raptor supercharger kit.
  11. laz he must have given up waiting for you to vote
  12. You need to get the bushes for the diameter bar you're using. Stock is 16mm which will have a smaller hole than 20mm. You won't be able to re-use your stock bushings
  13. Thanks for the votes Opie! Here's the current scores and new challenge Tigger73: 28 Grnlantern1: 21 Laz: 11 TTG: 9 Im2c0ol: 8 Twisted freedom: 4 Mehilovich: 4 Nybz: 5 RobbieGT: 3 SubieboyLGT05: 3 Subybru: 3 Andrew_l_s: 2 Kaopealii: 2 PNWHardcore: 2 Sos123: 2 2_From_NH: 2 Bozyczko: 1 Cyc66: 1 CCC555: 1 MaheshBabuKolla: 1 Citadel: 1 Skye_scoob: 1 Wagonofdoom: 1 GTEASER: 1 SubieN8: 1 Fiatz79: 1 Msmoto: 1 Krispybacon: 1 Opie: 1 Next Challenge: Post a photo of your car hiding in a garage/carport/undercover
  14. OK laz how about you "thank" all the other posts - just not the photo challenge posts We're meant to be posting up pics of our cars at a sporting event (Opies challenge on previous page). So far there's 2 photos - require 4 votes to "win" the challenge and then set a new challenge. We're just seeing if we can get this thing rolling again after a bit of a break.... If you don't understand how this thread is meant to work take a look a the first post which outlines the rules for the game. Otherwise check the 5th gen thread as their photo challenge is well established.
  15. Clearly just enough time to post but not enough time to vote We've had some major storm through here including blackout of the entire state in the last week. Hope all goes well for you.
  16. It always amazes me that the thread gets a lot of views but hardly anyone takes the time to vote. Where is laz when you need him? [emoji13] Actually to get it moving we should make it 1 like Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I think this comes back to the same old argument of should have bought a different car to start with. There does come a point in modifying that it's no longer about bolt-ons and you start having to do some serious work to beef the internals up. That is when things start to become expensive. I would speak to Matt/TH about it. I know there are some supercharged FB20's (XV with 2.0 NA) running around the place that use the same CVT. Though here you're starting with the FB25 so have more potential. If I were to do it (and I'm not), then I'd be going conservative in terms of level of boost. I think it should be OK given the level of engineering safety that is generally designed into these sorts of things, however you are starting to push the boundaries. At the end of the day nobody has done it before so nobody can say for certain what the result is going to be. There is only one way to find out....
  18. Went past the hockey fields today while a game was on: http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161003/aac078e307d37c0627b1b69407af4e4c.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. All the stock wheel sizes are in the first post. Steel wheels on the 2.5 base model are 17x7 ET55. That should be fine. Recommended tire width on a 8" wide rim is either 225 or 235. A few people have even fitted stock tires on 8.5" wide rims with a little stretch. The only issue you have is that there is generally less protection for the rim as the sidewall of the tire slopes in and any rim protection from the tire is diminished.
  20. One more vote for Opie or a better shot of your trunk! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. OK Opie I'll vote for you If there's enough interest we might even be able to get this photo challenge moving again.
  22. It's hard to tell from the pics due to different angles. If you're concerned I'd get out a tape/ruler and measure it first before trying to shift it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Loosen clamps/bolts. Knock it across with a hammer/brick/head/solid object. Tighten clamps. Job done.
  24. Oozes class now I think the Limited wheels look pretty decent, however these are a step up again. Plus also the extra width helps to fill out the guards and makes the car look more aggressive. I can't remember are you running lowering springs denokarter or is this stock height?
