Gotcha. I went with oem which was actually pretty affordable at $37 a piece. I figured they had a pretty good track record since they survived 18yrs on my car so the new ones will likely live well past the rest of the car.

The only difference between brain surgery and car repair is the amount of force involved, with cars requiring a lot less.
Just dropping in to let people know you work on brains?

Some questions you’re about to get:
You say it’s bone stock then say some upgrades. What are the some upgrades?
What dyno was it on? They read differently.
What year is your car? How many miles? What kind of condition is it in?

I dislike the piano black trim in the new STI since it's impossible to keep clean! It shows everything. I keep a microfiber cloth in the door pocket to wipe it every day I drive it. I can't imagine having it around the radio that you touch all the time lol.
I’m sure it highlights every scratch as well. I’d have an aneurysm with how dusty dirty it gets here in the desert

That’s the stuff right there.

That I’m not 100% sure on. I know when you check the whiteline bump steer kit it’s also the same for sti of similar years. I’m in the market for the 2015 rack myself but haven’t yet looked into those details. If I had my guess…. No difference or are interchangeable
-
Yes and it’s irrelevant. If you are lgt, your existing intermediate shaft is fine especially with the lockdown
-
The steering link you’re referring to is only needed when removing the outback subframe spacers

Unless something his now hitting something causing false knock in the upper rpm’s causing it to pull timing and lay over

Not 100% positive on this but it could possibly be your cal id

As long as you keep it out of boost you’re likely not going to hurt it. I’d put it around to collect some data on it and to identify any abnormalities. Grocery store runs and all that just keep it out of power.

Those 6 piston calipers are nuts

Don’t forget to reset the ecu before you let it run to check

Good call on those used kw's I just asked if he was willing to ship to NY, we will see. Said I would pay for shipping as well. At that price thats a god damn no brainer, I would buy em off him right now.
Anyone know what KW charges to rebuild a corner?
Be nice if he would, I’d snag those whiteline arms off him.

Remans don’t last very long. I keep a core in my garage for a lifetime warranty swap when I need it which is usually every couple months
-
My guess is even though the cv feels fine that it’s likely the culprit

(Insert Bernie Sanders meme) - I am once again asking for your support.
alright guys, I got some stuff for the subframe spacer removal on my outback but I am still in need of some key components that I’d rather throw money to the community for than the dealership.
I need the following from the picture-
1 and 2- LGT 5sp shift linkages
3 and 5- legacy 4 rear subframe bolts with the washers8 and 12- Legacy rear trailing arm body brackets
15 and 18- legacy 5sp transmission cross members. (Unsure if the AT uses the same)
16- 4 legacy front subframe bolts
Please let me know what you guys have and might be willing to part with before I resort to the dealership. These cars are nearly impossible to find here in AZ on the road and are non existent in the salvage yards.

Unfortunately no but the amount of bugs it’s covered in is absolutely unreal. I think I might have used the last of the life of my used lgt rear struts lol

Last Thursday we left to Wyoming to visit family and let the kids enjoy Cheyenne Frontier Days (and try to convince my wife to move back) and the car did flawless for the most part and I even scored a few goodies! It was 1,000mi there and 1,000mi back and I drove both 13.5hr trips myself only stopping for fuel while the wife and kids played their games.
While I was there I was lucky enough to find some good parts in the salvage yard that are impossible to find here. I scored some of the parts for the subframe spacer delete off of an LGT but I was using my dads tools and after breaking a ratchet and bending a few wrenches I had to abandon with what I was lucky enough to get. Another goodie I finally got back was a sub box I built when my wife had her other outback. I sold the outback to a friend and when I got my current outback I asked him to sell me the sub box if he ever sold the car. Well he sold the car but to a mutual friend who also sold it to another mutual friend who finally sold it to someone in Utah and they kept the sub box for me. It was originally built for a Sundown Audio SA-8 but someone along the line cut it out for a 10” so we will see how it sounds.
Overall I was incredibly happy with how the old outback did averaging a little over 26mpg (calculated which blew my mind). My wife drove it to Colorado and couldn’t get it into reverse which I had to guide her through over the phone. Trans is getting to be pretty worn out and I’ve been saving for the 6speed swap which I may have to move up on the priority list. If anyone has a legacy parts car, please hit me up if you want to sell me a few things for the spacer delete. I’m going to order them regardless but I’d rather throw money to the people on the forum over a dealer.

I do have to ask, what the hell were you doing in NM? That’s gotta be one of my least favorite places to drive through.
