My wife gave up asking a long time ago. I have been fixing up cars since we were married. It might as well have been part of our vows.

Glad to see these finally finished. At least my old trans went to some kind of use.

Plus one on the gt bushings being a pain. I ended up modifying a socket so that I could get it in there to torque correctly. I contemplated just drilling a couple holes in the spare tire well to make it easy, but I am pretty sure you do not want to do that. Reinstalling the nuts was a lot easier than breaking them loose. It was very frustrating. Just give yourself plenty of time and as mentioned do some scouting first.

Sounds like your tune is a bit wonky. I would have him take a look at it again. Possibly do a log of you driving around normally for 10 or 15 minutes and have him look at that. If your tuner is only focusing on your pulls then perhaps he missed something. As far as your afr. Becks is correct 12 is way too lean. Mine is in the low 10's at full boost so 11 should be ok.

Air gnomes sneak in and steel it at night.

I have had a P0204 CEL for the last 2 or 3 weeks on my 2011 LGT (misfire on cylinder 4). Everything I looked up and read about it said that it was either a faulty spark plug, or a bad coil pack. The car just turned 90k miles. Over the weekend I replaced the spark plugs, and I had to remove the battery to get to the plugs on the right side of the engine bay. The car is running fine so far... and removing the battery cleared my CEL so it was a win/win.
PO204 is for a cyl 4 injector circuit malfunction. PO304 is for a cyl 4 misfire. I wasnt sure if you possibly mis typed it. Either way you should get it looked at. If it comes back that is. Either of those codes can lead to bad things. Just my two cents.

I took my car out for about a 10 mile drive today. All over various back roads hoping to God I didn't see a cop. Car ran great. One thing that I have noticed since the swap is that my DAM FKC FKL are much more stable. I am guessing that the shorter gearing and lightened flywheel are making it much easier on the engine to get the car going. I hardly have to touch the throttle now and the car starts pulling. Even in fourth at a quarter throttle at 2200 rpm the car just pulls and boost comes on super quick.

I had quite an interesting car spotting day today. I spotted a McLaren 650S, A Ferrari California(new one not a super cool 60's one), a lifted miata of all things, and best of all an R32 Skyline. Quite the day for a car lover.

I just replaced the faulty coil pack. Runs like a champ now.

Yeah I was a bit worried at first. I even ran my camera into the piston to look at the valves and everything. I know with the forged pistons and better valves all should be well, but I still was very worried. Always nice when it is a super easy fix.

Can't wait to try and work on one of those. What a nightmare.

So I took the car out for a short run today. Everything was going fine. Then once it was up to temp I decided to give it a little boost. Right at peak boost it started stuttering like mad and the christmas tree showed up. Nursed it home(only about a mile). Checked for codes and it was misfire cyl 3. So I tore everything down, checked voltage, spark, and resistance on number three. When I checked the spark there was none, so I swapped 1 and 3 coils and put it all back together. Sure enough, now it is cyl 1 misfire. I guess it is time for new coils. I know Swannee had 100k on his and I have put at least another 15 on them. So I will be getting coils soon. Just never ends.

I just watched an episode of " Engine Masters" on E85 vs 114 octane. Very interesting. They compared on a big block naturally aspirated. Not to related to our motors but still a very interesting episode. Worth a watch.

Talked about her over the phone... AWDTuning talked about how they had to relocate a power-steering line because of the FMIC........ k ........
Strange indeed. Not sure why they would need to do that. Now I'm curious

Thanks. I was able to decode my vin. I can find out what number legacy I am but not specific GT. Apparently I am the 6342nd legacy built. I have a pretty early prod date too. My door plate says 08/09. They were really pumping out the legacys early for 2010.

Chris. BTW what do you mean by number 100? Is there some magic way we can know what number in production our cars were or does it mean something else?
Thanks
Brendan

I know a few friends that have done that and it usually is not much. Worth looking into anyway.

Sorry I am late to the show Chris. So glad you are ok and so sad about your car. If you do happen to get it back I have a whole extra trans I would gladly donate to you if you need it. Obviously it will need some work, but it is something. Vince doing the blast plates still has the front case, but he could ship it to you. Once again glad you are ok and everyone is safe.Yea this has been a rough weekend, I'm really going to miss this car, a lot. It's most definitely totaled, there's engine and possibly transmission issues as well as frame damage. Also it's still not paid for completely so i may just break even on its worth, which man's buying it back may not be so cheap. I was able to get a lot of things off of it but not sure ill have a chance to get major parts off.Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk

That would be awesome, but as you said finding the room would be tricky. Especially with that giant STI trans sitting in the way too.
-
That would be awesome. I would definitely add a turbo though. No snail no bueno. This is all a long way down the road, but I am sure my engine will blow up eventually.
-
^^^Funny, I have been thinking about picking up an extra block as well. It would be nice to have something to mess around with that does not need to get back on the road. Now the question is 3.6 or 2.5. hmmm

Need to find someone who wants an 08 lgt with 6 speed swap and gt3076R with a brand new stage 2 block who will give me 12K or trade me straight up for an E39 M5. I need one of those in my life before i die
Yep that one is on my list as well. I have driven a few in my day and those things are a beast.
