No unfortunately it did not. The fifth gens are the only cars that use the engine mounts like we have.

Finished the adjuster for the shifter. I made it with two locations to move the shifter rearwards. Easy to adjust with the assembly in the car as well. Hopefully it works out.
I also received my control arms and stuff today.

Been really busy, but I had a bit of a chance to work on the shift assembly this weekend. I figured out a good way to make it adjustable so I can set it exactly where I will need it. Should have that done in a couple days. I also ordered new front control arms, end links, and a new slave cylinder today.

Ideally it looks like you need to move the flapper arm more close to the actuator. From the video you posted it looks as though the flapper arm damn near hits the exhaust housing. Then you would need an actuator with longer throw and a shorter arm. It is a lot of trouble to go through, at least until we have done some actual flow tests to see if any of this is worth doing.

Judging by the earlier pics, it does not look like there is much extra room in there. I know the invidia I have just has a flat plate of metal where the door is. No way for it to open more there. Please keep us informed. I would like to know your thoughts on the vf54.

Seems to me that even if the door is open half way it should still be able to flow way more than the small wg passage is able to let through. The air flow may hit the flapper a bit, but the opening is still uncovered. I only have my experience to go on, using my 20g hybrid, but it has a nicely ported wg and my peak wg duty cycle at 21psi is only 52%. Unfortunately I think porting is the way to go.

This is just my two cents. If the WG flapper really does not open that much, you would think that BNR would have mentioned this. As far as I understand they have hybridized several vf54's. You would think they would mention to their customers that along with porting the wg you should also modify the flapper in some way. As I said just my thoughts.

Spent a little time this afternoon. I extended the wires for the DCCD and installed our factory neutral and reverse switches in the STI trans.

At what psi do the heads start to lift?
FWIW my heads lifted on a stage 1 protune. I was peaking at about 16.8psi.

Got the transmission pulled out and cleaned up today. Also the DCCD controller came in yesterday. I might start doing the wiring tomorrow. Also another added bonus to my new mounts is that I no longer need the engine brace with the trans out of the car. I can reinstall the mounts after the trans is removed.

More stuff arrived today. Cobb adjustable short shifter and the rear diff cradle inserts.

I am planning on removing the trans this weekend. I am going to give it a thorough cleaning and sort the wiring for the dccd pro(it should be here in a few days). I am also going to modify the shifter at the same time. Then I will reinstall everything with the clutch as well. I am also installing new control arms in the front at the same time. Once all the front end stuff is done I am going to move to the rear. Drop the subframe and install the new diff. Then it is just the driveshaft and axles to deal with.

Clutch kit and LWFW arrived today. Definitely different than our setup.

Just checked tracking and the transmission should be arriving to Vince on Thursday. I also invited him to join here to keep us updated and what not. Hopefully he will be arriving soon.

Spent a little quality time with the dremel cutting things out and it is getting close and will indeed work. I also ordered the DCCD controller from DCCD pro. It is set up to work with this switch setup out of the box.

I picked this up today to use with my dccd controller. Looks like a damn good spot for it to me. It will fit in great with the seat heater controls. Just a bit of trimming and it will fit like a glove.

Well I just shipped the trans. It was pricey, $114.00. Hopefully this works out and helps you guys.

Glad to hear all is well. You will be fine with the stock clutch at stage 1. Enjoy having a nice easy reliable car.
