  1. I am just going off what I saw of Swannee's DP when I did the swap. It looks much better designed than the GB ones. I have no idea why they changed it, but looks like it might have caused some issues.
  2. Very nice. Thanks for the effort Jackal. I am in for sure. Need to protect the 20G and my new DP
  3. What a shame we dont get that here. My car would be gone in an instant.
  4. ^^^Well you had better get on it. Seriously though. Best bang for your buck mod there is.
  5. It holds the filter on. Snaps on to the locating pin for the filter after you install the filter.
  6. Sweet a day without disaster. You can't ask for any more than that. Glad the time-sert worked out
  7. The techs at my work both suggested a timesert or the keensert. They have had better luck with the timeserts though.
  8. Well I just talked with Swannee. He remembers ordering four cams when they did the motor. I am getting a bit of conflicting info between him and M Sprank. We can't find the paperwork. I am sure we will figure it all out. More for my curiosity than anything else.
  9. This also does beg the question. If the Sti intake cams are the same then why would M Sprank go to all the trouble of slotting an Sti cam so that it would fit out motors?
  10. Well I guess I am back to being equal to an 18g. Still not a bad place to be mind you. That is until I decide to find some sti exhaust cams and install those too. Damn Enablers:lol:
  11. He did build the motor so I imagine he would have done the exhaust cams if they were needed.
  12. Well I stand corrected then. I guess I am good to go. Thanks for making my day
  13. Of course doesn't it figure. Swannee's motor I am installing has the STI intake but not the exhaust
  14. Well judging from that it looks as if the 18g is the way to go. Nice work Thanks
  15. Very impressive. So nice to see how clean the FMIC is mounted.
  16. As much as it sucks to say it I think that this may be a flaw in our turbos. Sounds like as soon as we get exhaust that can flow freely enough the WG just is not able to slow down the turbine. Even in some cases it sounds like with a ported WG. Could be just a problem with the WG flow design. All I know is that it sounds like we just need to have a restriction in the exhaust somewhere to inhibit flow through the turbo a bit.

  18. I can take a pic of Swannee's when I get home if that would help anyone until he gets it up to GTEASER. Let me know.
  19. Glad to hear things are progressing positively for you for once. Hope it keeps going that way.
