  1. Not sure if it is related, but I remember when Swannee got his car back after his new motor he was having a hang up with his WG arm hitting a heat shield. Did a bit of modifying and was able to get it sorted. You may Pm him for info.
  2. I am all over that one too. Saw it at the auto show and it is gorgeous.
  3. ^^^That is the best part of our cars and a hard thing to find in another vehicle. Nobody has one at all and nobody has a clue what it is.
  4. I love my car and am not getting rid of it anytime soon. That being said my next car is an M5 for sure. Comfy highway cruiser when you want it and a blistering 3.6 0-60 when you feel like hauling butt. If we could get an Audi RS6 wagon I would be all over that, but apparently we are not worthy.
  5. It helps a lot too if you rough up the back of the included mount before applying the tape. Makes it stick a lot better.
  6. Mine has never come off and the temps get well over 100 here all the time. I used the 3m that you use for exterior emblems on cars. I pulled it off one time to mount it a bit different and the tape came right off the dash, with a little persuasion.
  7. Let me tell you getting that extra 60 degrees is a pita. I did it, but man it was hard to do.
  8. I mounted mine over next to the dash cubby. I do not need it in my direct line of site and I just keep it angled toward me. I just used the included mount with good 3m double stick and it works great. http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah113/BBPeik/20160223_164231_zps0qvljrit.jpg
  9. Real world the ISF is about 4.5 0-60. They have 416 hp, but only 370 lb/ft of tq and they are about 450 lbs heavier than us. Stock they would beat us for sure. Stage 1 prob even to 60 if we get a bitchin launch. Stage 2 or 3 I do not think they would have a chance.
  10. When I was changing my oil today at my buddies shop there was a guy there getting tires on his Lexus ISF. At first he was very confused what the heck my car was, thought it was a weird Lexus he had never seen. Gotta love the L7 badges. I then explained to him what it was. He asked how fast it was and I said just about as fast as your car and with a couple grand more in mods a bit faster. He was quite impressed and said that he should have saved his money and bought a Subie. Subaru FTW
  11. I thought the boost thing was odd as well. It is almost more like a hiccup in the bcs. Don't know though, its odd
  12. A FSB is not the easiest thing to install. I am not sure on a 3.6, but on a GT the motor has to be lifted just to swap it. Good upgrade, but not exactly easy.
  13. I think it is just the rear. The 5th gen Legacy front bar is unique.
  14. Nice thanks a bunch for clearing that up. Can't wait to see the manifold when its done.
  15. The welds look good. The exhaust heat should have no effect on the welds. Thanks everybody for clearing up the whole ewg thing for me. Just so I am clear Jackal. You are having a waste gate put into the manifold you are getting correct?
  16. I know this is a silly question. On a ewg setup like that is the wg actuator in the dp? Are you saying you want to weld the door open? Sorry just a bit confused on the whole ewg thing.
  17. Do you stay up late at night thinking up weird scenarios just to stump all of us. In all seriousness I have no idea on this one. If it was at various throttle ranges I might say it was something in your tune, but at only 60% throttle I am stumped.
  18. Pretty sure you do. That is a pretty major change to the timing etc. of the engine. I am sure you could run them without a tune, but to actually see a benefit a tune would be needed. I am sure a tuner could verify the exact reasons though.
