  1. Went to move the Legacy and I notice the steering was very tight. Not sure if it was me since I did not drive the Legacy in 3+ month. Since now we use the SUV as a family vehicle. When I take it in to do the oil change I will check the Power steering fluid. I may end up flushing it.
  2. I Sprayed the duct intake side on my SUV because my wife was complaining about getting light headed and dizziness and a musty smell. It hit me over the weekend. I'm changing the (2) cabin filter (in transit) and (1) dust filter (Just got it) this weekend. So I decided to spray it inside the Legacy since I was running it thru my SUV. My wife destroyed the interior the cloth seat's has black stain look like coffee or some sort. When I get some time I take it to the shop and detail the interior and shampoo the seat and carpet.
  3. Defected battery or you have a draw somewhere that causing the battery to drain.
  4. I use NGK Platinum or Iridium in all my vehicles.
  5. My pic did not do justice yesterday (so dam blurry) while driving. This trunk has (2 or 3) GT style spoilers mounted all different heights. The spoiler caught me off guard. I sworn it was a late 90s Honda Civic or early 2000. I have this Neon parked in my neighborhood with the low profile spoiler, not sure if it's OEM or aftermarket but on top of that he has another spoiler mounted, lol. One of these days I get a picture of it.
  6. Friend told me Interstate got allot better over the years and swear by them. I remember those battery's. I could not even get a year and half out of them this was back in the 1990s. Look like my Deka supplier/retailer next door to the shop is changing his prices daily and sometime he is overcharge for the same battery. Look like I may get the Interstate battery from Costco. I need to change out the Subaru battery ASAP. The Original battery takes a bit longer to turn over when it's cold outside.
  7. We got it about 4-5 years ago from Japan, from one of my suppliers that I deal with. We kept it inside the original box all this time and stored it safe.
  8. What a busy weekend... 1. AE86 got a new HKS cat-back, fixed the coolant leak (from the T-stat housing). I may need to rebuild the calipers next, there locked. I don't think I can find another one. 2. Paint the new shop bathroom. 3. Move ITR wheels and a Subaru Legacy wheel from my house to the new shop (still need to move some more). Organizing allot of car parts in my house. 4. Cleaned the basement and Attic. Basement bathroom renovation is starting in the next few hour with demolition and jack hammering the slab. 5. Got an email stating, Me, wife and our son is booked for a 7 day cruise in March. I looked into it we are booked with a Balcony state room. Found out my mother booked us the cruise as a family with all my sibling, nephew, niece, and parents. My wife was "HELL YEAH FREE Cruise!" lol.
  9. The brake fluid never been changed ever? That must of been pure pitch black sludge
  10. ^ I have a feeling, I still think it's the rubber brake line. Since you got another ABS module. I would swap out the rubber brake lines out with braided steel lines before you swap out the ABS module.
  11. I don't know what to think of that Y tail pipe. Something you find on a GLE, MDX, etc.
  12. What ever makes you happy. Putting a rear facing baby seat in my old 2 door CLK was perfectly fine and I manage. What about vehicles with 2 seats only. The baby car seat is place in the passenger front. It's in the owner manual for that vehicle.
  13. I had a rear facing baby car seat (Uppababy Mesa and then later Chicco Keyfit 30) in a Mercedes-Benz CLK500. Did it for a year before I trade it in due to rod knock. Can't be that difficult to get a baby car seat in a STI.
  14. Happen to my mother Q45. My older sister was driving it and got T-boned (Q45 did a 360) from a 18 or 19 year old that ran the red light. Sent my sister to the hospital and the Q45 was totaled. Insurance bought it due to being total loss. My mother got a call 8 or 9 month later from the new owner of my mother Q45. Mother business cards were in the vehicle at the time and he said he bought it in Auction and it's all repaired and back on the road. You can see the tears that came out of my mother eyes. She did loved that vehicle and my mother was willing to buy it back. I stop my mother from buying it back because it was not safe after that she bought a brand new fully loaded MDX (hand down now to my father) and now a Lexus.
  15. I know some of the Honda models are known to have soft feel brake pedals like air is trap in the line. People usually replace the rubber brake line with braided steel lines instead. I had this problem on my old Integra. I swap the whole entire brake system to a Integra Type R (Came from Ben Schaeffer SCCA#33 Integra Type R) and my brakes stop on a dime.
  16. What a crazy weekend at the shop. Lower control arms in the main shop and painting the exterior wall of the seating/waiting area of the new shop next door and loading up more cars. On top I had dental Surgery last Friday (My last one is the first week of December). Where moving that 1up in the back to the front (We have (2) more still in the box). Just waiting to have the windows tinted first and finish the flooring. Next weekend on the to do list work on the AE86.
  17. Scissor lift. I have seen these in house garage with 8-9 foot ceiling. The issue I have seen with these, they do scratch the floor. Should not be more then $2,100. I know some one picked one up very similar to the one in the link for $1,200. https://www.picclickimg.com/00/s/MTYwMFgxMzEy/z/e~MAAOSwOeVZzrpb/$/Mobile-car-scissor-liftCAR-LIFT-MID-RISE-_57.jpg We have the full 2 post lift's (Rotary) we pick those up for $2,500 used. We have about (5) in shop #1 and a Hunter wheel alignment rack, Shop #2 and shop#3 also has 1 each.
  18. I agree on the Behr radiator I had them in my old CLK. (It was recommended by my friend, who is Master Mercedes Tech) I also ran a Fluidyne Aluminum high performance radiator. I had very good results in my Acura. I don't trust Mishimoto products. I heard allot of complaints about there craftsmanship (welds, etc.). For German parts I buy from ECSTuning.com (They have OEM and aftermarket parts). Mostly I buy OEM parts for German vehicles.
  19. Started to paint the new shop next door (We have both shops). Shop crew agree to install a couple of 1up arcade machine (one is getting hacked with all the games). Found out we have a Mortal Kombat true arcade machine that I need to help pick up from storage (Still have allot to do in the new shop). The new shop will be storage, restoration, Audio/Alarm install and hang out lounge.
  20. The more you keep switching grade back and fourth you may confuse the O2 sensor and ECU. I know on other vehicles the O2 sensor and ECU is already program for certain grade fuel.
  21. I did mine myself just under 70k miles back on 7/30/2016 on the Legacy. I changed out myself (16) plugs with (16) plug wires out of my old M113 motor (5.0L V8).
  22. After 2.5-3hrs finally got the 1986 GTS-S Corolla (AE86) fired up (Jump the battery and whacking the alternator) after sitting for 5 years maybe more. Put air in all (4) tires and got it to the shop so we (shop crew) can plan/start the restoration.
