Why not get a stock 09+ WRX flywheel and clutch? They had the VF52 stock so they should be up to the task. At least thats what I would think. I hate driving my competition clutch stage 2 in traffic..... And I'm about to start doing that in a months time lol.
-
they're not 100 dollar tires, thats what i paid for them, they're used. p.s. its a Subaru station wagon not a race-car.
Someone obviously hasn't found Gators old thread or Boxkita current thread....

what do you think are a good set of springs? something stiff at around stock ride height
I used to have H&R springs on my wagon. They were pretty good and dropped just a little bit from stock height.
Also, the tire stretch you have currently as well as the wheel offset is very much calling to be extremely low. If you are trying to maintain stock height I would recommend getting wider tires as the way your car currently looks is ridiculous. If you're going to have that much stretch you better be super low.

I figured he wouldn't want to drop too much by what his statement was but you are definitely right about going low on Konis.
-
STi stuff will not bolt right up as the bolt spacing at the hub is different. Koni strut inserts and some good springs are great. Update your profile so we know which part of the country you are in.

Welcome! Definitely needs some low with the tires being slightly stretched and that offset.

I've had that sensor sitting around since September waiting for me to install it and I just haven't gotten around to it. It claims to be an OEM replacement and when I did the rear with a Bosch a few years ago it didn't like it till I swapped back to a Denso.

no I mean the white volks, plus there's brotiform boxes in the pic lol
Volks refinished in bronze would be sweet! And my guess is the brotiform boxes are his VW Daily wheels

Psssst, I may or may not of recently ordered some of the same parts as you haha
Awww come on! Really!?!?! You Kyle and I all will have the rear garnish now!!

I like the bronze advans on there now, quick fucking with it.
But the ceramic coating just preserves the color depth and protects it as well as making it easy to clean!

Either the RS6 box flares or the more gradual flares added on. I've also got ideas of working with the existing body lines of the legacy to make the body wide subtly and have it work. Just really hard to put into words without having a car in front of my and showing which lines I'd extend and what I'd do
-
What are you using to shape and weld? Like actually buying RS flares and getting them to fit?
That would be easiest. Otherwise cutting current legacy body panels and adding sheet metal to shape the flares exactly how you want them. I wish I was good at Photoshop because I've actually had ideas of buying an NA front end collision or blown engine body shell to do mock up and design on.

Cut, shape, weld, grind, smooth, primer, sand, primer, sand, little Bondo, primer, paint

I hate your car....actually I hate that its not mine and mine will probably never look that good....that is all...lol
Dave
Thanks Dave! At some point I'll have to drive it out to CO so you can see it.
-
Yeah but the RS4 doesn't have a twin turbo V10 under the hood. So its not as cool
-
Which year RS6? The current model is similar to the one I 'shopped but more gradual; the 2009 model has the style I think you're getting at.
You would be right. But I think even with the current models more gradual flares it may be better. But these would be best.

Thinking about what I want to do in the future for this. Did a good spring wash this weekend and realized the front bumper is chipped quite a bit more than I originally thought. So threw the chipped black surround grille back on so it all matches. Mostly because I like the black grille over the chrome. Also I know that the rear bumper isn't perfect from the yard in Russia it came from so I'll see what I can do with buffing it to get some of the scratches out but I think it will need a full sand and I'm not sure what to do about the edges that are slightly rounded. Kinda looks like it was dropped on gravel or left to rest on gravel for awhile. So full repaint is on the list and the spats will get done at the same time, I need to install the gauge pack I have but I'm just going to wait till I do my next oil change to do that. Then Kalien32 picked up black door cards from s2baru's partout car that I'll pick up from Kalien in a couple weeks when I make a short trip home. Thinking I'm going to take them apart and redo them to be similar to 07 Spec B doorcards or see what I can do with them to make them a little bit custom and align with my future interior plans of the 07 Spec B seats and hopefully at some point a black headliner.

I've actually been thinking of something similar for awhile however I've envisioned RS6 style flares. I think they would flow better with the car.

legacybt your picture isn't working and I really want to see it cause I've had similar thoughts!!

Yea, Im starting to know almost everyone at Heuberger, as they are me.
I normally do all of my own work, but dont have time and want it done before I head to Vegas.
Whoops totally glossed over that

If you don't have record of the timing belt being done do it. These cars are old enough that they need to be done no matter what mileage but being at 153k it was due at 105k.
Need to see the hooked up wagons!!!!!!! Volume-2
in Legacy Photos (2005-2009)
