  1. fishbone's way is the "right way". Me? I'd just leave it. It's not going to cause a problem either way.
  2. First, I doubt it. Second, if he did, or did not, he was a fool to spend 5 hours trying to loosen 4 stuck bolts. I would have just cut them off with a cutoff tool (air tool is best, but a dremel would work). Or just used a nut splitter to crack the nut off and pulled the bolt out that way. But...then again, this just could be a valuable life lesson, if he is like me, and does everything the hard way... edit: BTW, P'Blaster > Liquid Wrench
  3. Nice vid. how about a driving vid? I'd like to you hear while you are running through the gears...
  4. I think it sounds OK, but to get more noise at idle you need more washers! I'd double what you have, and see what it sounds like. What do you have to lose?
  5. same here. Ran it for 2 years and no buildup at all. I was catless too, along wiht AP S2
  6. LOL! Good morning joke! I'll remember that one.
  7. LOL. You got it rough, man. You need some air tools. As for loudness, yes you will experience almost a doubling in volume on 1 vs 2. Also, how thick are the washers? If you used 2 thin ones, go with 4, or 2 thick ones. The ones I used were probably 8-10 in a 1" stack.
  8. about 400,000 nickels if I remember! What's up with the car? Have you done the turbo upgrade yet? Details!!!
  9. If you love it, you have to send me a nickel. If I had a nickel for everyone who sent me a nickel, I'd have no nickels! Nickels Nickles Bicycles!
  10. no, no I think I still wouldn't have much problem with that. On the highway? Maybe...and even then it's iffy.
  11. Yah, remove the gasket; keep it if still usable, don't worry if not. Washer size doesn't matter one bit. I'm way OCD, so I have to have them all the same size (or i wouldn't sleep at night), but as long as they create a gap, your golden. Go for the thicker ones, or have 3-4 if they are really thin.
  12. You know Kurt, you don't have to be jealous. Anyone can do this awesome mod. It's OK, really. We don't mind the hurtful things you've said in the past. I forgive you. Embrace the inevitable. That being said, Welcome Aboard.
  13. I guess I didn't need to mention I was Stage 2 at the time, but whatever. Even at 250/250 with AWD, I don't need mods to beat anything honda makes... KurtP, you hysterically overuse the smilies.
  14. no and no. it just ends your muffler a little earlier. The only effect on economy is if you are constantly revving your engine to hear it. and rev you will. especially next to ricers at the stoplights.
  15. Glad your ready to try it! It's not that bad for the neighborhood. Trust me, I live in a very quiet, no thru traffic area, and no body seemed to care in a year... Also, no big deal on the $500. I have have US$62,500 pending from a surprise UNITED NATIONSĀ® citizen gift. And to think, I only had to send them $275 for processing it. I already told work to F off, I'm going to Mexico for a year with the money!
  16. hmmm...if you like it on a 2.5i, auto, you should have heard it on a 2.5T stick! Aural pleasures, I tell you. I miss my leggy. Will be getting another one someday soon!
  17. ^^ my thoughts exactly. Great sound, not too loud or obnoxious, but deep. I'm sure you don't gain much HP over a full catback, but I'm sure you don't lose anything either!
  18. always glad to help!!! My mom just bought a '10 Legacy....I'm trying to get her to Hogzaust it. But then, you know, she is a woman. I don't know if she'd enjoy the noise on her 70 mile commute. LOL.
  19. Nice 6th post! Glad you like it. Glad you tried it - if you were like some that just scoffed, you'd never know!
