  1. just to let ya'll know...I'm still alive. I check up every once in a while, and glad to see the Hogzaust is still alive!
  2. Sorry to see you go, but we all things must pass! Glad you enjoyed it. Hard to believe I'm coming up on 2 years with my LGT...
  3. If you do any wrenching, may I suggest using that money they will charge, and put it towards an electric impact wrench? They can prove invaluable!
  4. LOL. I had the same issue when in for a recall. "Hey - you know you have an exhaust leak?" No...really? tards.
  5. You can split the nuts with a nut splitter. Maybe buy an electric impact wrench? Good tool to have... Or, last thing - take it to an exhaust shop. $10 for new bolts, I bet.
  6. yeah, I had to sell it. I really couldn't afford to be rolling in a 30,000 car when my networth was -100,000....! Gladly accepting donations, though!
  7. Sounds like you are starting him down the right path! Attaboy! Next, make him learn to drive on a stick! Too bad, we all didn't have to do that...
  8. nope. Some folks have been running it the better part of 3 years, and no issues try it, and if you don't like it, undo it. No harm!
  9. That sounds cool. I used to tape those model rocket engines to GI JOE's and light them off. One time, (well, everytime) the rocket would go haywire, and once it landed on my friends back and gave him a melted GI JOE burn. It was awesome.
  10. Engineer? I thought so. I'm an engineering drop-out/failure. So I specifically designed this system with wing-itability cause I could never use the calipers to get repeatable results. Dammit. Just wing it!
  11. I'd say the average thickness is around 1/8"; a stack of 8 is around an inch. I'd go for 2 thick ones, or 3 thinner ones. Adjust as needed.
  12. No....but I did try. It's just too bad that the muffler is RIGHT AFTER the cat, and it's connected by some funky thick oval solid pipe. No way to cut it and flange it, or anything easy. Would just defeat the whole "cheap and simple" idea. For my truck I'd get an exhaust...
