  3. LOL! You guys crack me up. As for the washers in the Y-pipe, I found out the hard way too. Then I realized that i could just use the exhaust and shot it out - ZIP! have to go find them in the garage. Glad I have a few more converts. Anyone care to donate about $20,000 to the buy Hogmeat another Legacy fund?
  4. Guessing by the # of replies and number of people who may have done it without posting...a few hundred? 200 maybe? It's really quite impossible to tell.
  5. you must be young then. cause i grew up in the star wars age...and with the name of Luke, I heard it so much that I hated star wars
  6. you'll be fine. I ran with it for 3 years, and sold the car on to another member, who was going to change it out for a catback, but liked it so much, he was planning on keeping it, last time we talked. PS - this is in Iowa, lots of snow and salt, just like the great white north!
  7. oh now, a little surface rust won't hurt anything. As long as the majority of the metal still exsists, you'll be OK. Exhausts aren't meant to last the life of the car!
  8. 100,000 views is a given! Heck, I'll look at it 800 more times if I have too. Bad news about my truck - there is no steel before the mufflers to insert some flanges. Just that really heavy cast iron piping coming right after cat. I'm disappointed.
  9. they'll fall for it. I fooled 100's of experienced Legacy Owners! ...except for that 1 guy that was like "...he probably just took the mufflers off..." on like page 3... Awww heck. that was 104 pages ago...
  10. yah, it's common. You should be able to crack those off by hand. Worse case you break the bolts - which is no problem, as new bolts are reccomended anyways.
  11. I don't mean they aren't a hardware store...but their store brand is very poor quality, their selection of hard to find stuff is poor to nonexsistent... They drive out all the mom n pop stores with cheap easy to find stuff....but then don't carry all the stuff that they drove out. Oh well.
  12. lol @ menards. Save big money at menards!!! Go to a REAL hardware store. They'll have what you need.
  13. Hey, I just noticed...we are almost at 100,000 views! Awesomeness. Maybe I'll post in the General Forum to let all the noobs know what is going down. I thinking about welding on a flange on my F150 exhaust, so I can Hogzuast it. Badass...
  14. *drives slooowly up and down the street....in 1st gear.... I do have to agree with fishbone though...don't change for them, or you'll become one of them!!!
  15. Nope. None at all. All it does it end the exhaust about 14" inches earlier. It still goes out the back and right up!
  16. i was wrong: Driving directions to Calgary, AB, Canada 1,439 mi – about 23 hours 29 mins I'll see ya tomorrow!
  17. LOLS. Noob wrenchers. I guess I was one at one time too . If you have a nut and bolt combo - as we do in this situation...it doesn't matter on the size...as long as it fits through the holes in the flanges, and isn't like 14" long or something crazy, it'll fit. Easy. Can't get them off? Get a breaker bar and a pc of pipe and break'em off if you have too! ...or buy a propane torch for $11! ...or pay a exhaust shop $10 to get them off for you! ...or invest in a electric or pneumatic impact wrench! ...or come down to Iowa, and I'll zip them off for you! It's all part of the fun!
