  1. I already replied on teh profile coment you left. I think you meant to do a PM or something. I"m not really down with all that either.
  2. 8 5/8" thick washers. That's it. Look through the big thread in Performance Modifications, or look it up on Youtube. It basically diverts some of your exhaust gases before it passes through your muffler, and it sounds awesome. Videos sound OK, real life sounds great!
  3. A little soot won't hurt anything. I don't know why you have alot. I'd check your tune. I ran Stage 2 for a long time, with NO CATS, and little to no soot.
  4. someone should write SOA. Maybe they'll give me a old test mule Legacy. That'd be sweet. I could spread the word!
  5. There will be more to follow! I remember I just coasted down to a stop at some stoplight, and I must have made some crappy ZX2 Ford Focus jealous. Started racing it's crappy litttle hamster wheel, and then followed me. Wanted a race. I promptly embarassed them. LOL.
  6. OK, don't panic! Either: 1. Buy and jack and cut the nut off once you have the proper angle $20. 2. Buy a nut splittler, this will basically "crack" the nut in half, and you can pull the bolt out. $20. Either way, you win. Every man needs a jack. Every man also needs a nut splitter. In my case though, I'm married. Seriously, don't cut into your pipes. I think it would be a bad idea...
  7. Been in the thread several times...the worst that will happen is the flanges could scale - but not really at any rate that would make them wear out faster than your mufflers already would... I drove 3 winters like that, and no problems!
  8. Sure! Next time you plan to be in the Marshalltown area, send me a PM! If they are stuck on, we'll fire up the impact wrench, and zip them right off. CR isn't that far away. Hell, I might come over myself if you'll take me to HuHot to stuff my face afterwards. Rock on!
  9. yah, OK. Ask anyone with the mod how much soot they have. I ran catless for 2 years and never had a trace of soot, other than what is typical on the exhaust tips. I guess, if you are buring oil or have a HG leak, you could get a little sooty, but then the soot is the least of your worries!
  10. Spread the word, converts! To the guy with the 3 vids - the automatic sounds pretty good! I think I still like manual better, but still not bad!
  11. You can BACK UP Rhino Ramps, with the 5-speed and not go shooting off the back? You sir are worthy!
  12. two bolts each where the mufflers meet the Y. Someone did the other one upstream, and it didn't sound good. As for the one above on 1 vs 2....2 will quiet down. Why? Cause you'll get used to it!
  13. Next time your in Iowa, let me know; I'll do it for you. Take about 2 minutes with my impact wrench...
  14. it only takes 20 mins total to try it. What can it hurt? Dont like it? Go back to sock!
  15. Baseball is wrong - man with four balls cannot walk. Man standing on toilet is high on pot.
  16. Man who walks through airport doors sideways is going to Bangkok!
  17. I had gutted all 3 cats in my 06. No real difference in loudness. they aren't meant to muffler sound, and really, they don't. You will, however, notice significantly better topend power. By all means, GUT THEM!!!
  18. well, I'm glad you like it. Now brush up on those grammar skills, son. The real world won't take kindly to them.
