  1. Another one of the STi Genome grilles for sale if anyone is interested.

I would think shipping wouldn't exceed $100 and would be closer to $60-$80, depending on the box that it isn't shipped in.

Also, here are the STi Genome wheels:

  2. And what do you think of the Mcintosh system? I've seen a couple and had an opportunity to buy everything from just the headunit to the entire system of speakers and subwoofers. What do you have and what do you think of it vs stock?

If you buy the speakers you will also need the front doorcards since there are mids that we don't have and you'll want the grille properly placed.

  3. As far as the aesthetic changes go, when I'm done I will be able to fit any Legacy D-F grille, I will have factory HIDs with leveling, an aluminum hood, and factory lip skirts. Here is one of the grilles I got.

  4. I have it too. I like it a lot. It both improves and reduces road feel. Without it there is slightly more lag when you turn the wheel. and you can feel more of the little road imperfections. With it turning is more direct and reduces the little road imperfections and allows you to feel the bigger ones better.

I completely agree. It was well worth the price of admission and I have no plans to ever take it off.

  5. I have been amassing parts for some time now. I am planning both a power upgrade and an aesthetic change. I'll provide more details this week when I get a large shipment but I am pretty sure no one has done this in the US.

In the mean time, I got these mirror finishers/garnishes yesterday (J1017AG070)

  6. Here it is...

    Most Complete Retrofit List:

    Sedan 05-07 (Rev A-C)

    JDM Bumper

Bumper Beam (or cut USDM beam)

    Bumper Brackets

    Shock Absorber

Fender Liners (or cut original liners)

Fog Lights (JDM brackets, DIY brackets, or entire assemblies cut out of USDM bumper.)

    Sedan 08-09 (Rev D-F)

JDM Headlights (Optional: Headlight leveling switch and plugs. Plugs available at Toyota or Lexus dealer.)(Requires rewiring and soldering skills depending on which lights you want to use and because the JDM headlight wiring connectors are different from USDM.)

    Fenders

    Bumper

Bumper Beam (or cut USDM beam)

    Bumper Brackets

    Shock Absorber

    Fender Liners

From Leke on the Rev D-F headlight wiring:

For the Rev D-F lights, the best thing to do is to take a battery harness and use the OEM (USDM) plugs as your means to activate the relay. The other (the wires that run to the headlights) terminals can then be modified to include the JDM plugs.

This method requires more work, but the overall result is much cleaner. You could easily permanently modify your stock wiring to work with the JDM lights. But doing this will make life difficult if you ever want or need to go back to a USDM setup.

The other part that requires thinking is the parking light and turn signal. On the JDM light they're different bulbs, but the USDM turning/parking light socket is integrated into one plug. Easiest thing to do here is to use the USDM plug as it is, but solder new wiring to the terminals where the bulb would sit. This requires a steady hand, as there is visually no space to work with. But, your parking light and turn signals would function as they would on the stock car. If you ever want to go back to a USDM setup, all you need to do is source a new turn signal/parking light socket.

Someone please add this to the first post!!!

In respects to 08-09, is it 100% confirmed that the USDM hood works?

I understand that an OBXT will also need a LGT aluminum hood.

    For reference.

  7. Bid placed on it. It ends later today. Decided for shipping I will have it shipped to WA rather than CA since I only have 4 more weeks down here it doesn't make sense to ship it down here since I will need to do some paint restoration on it and figure out wiring for the rear fog light.

They come up often so even if you don't win this one they'll be others in black. Happy to be a good enabler!

Also for anyone interested, the Liberal wing (aka the wing the MachV wing is based on) is available all day long in Japanland: http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/p392811948

  8. It has been a while since I have updated this thread.

I am now almost at 107K miles.

I did the 105K service and installed the Gates Racing Timing Belt, Tomei Timing Belt Guide and Killer B Water Pump Housing at the same time.

Since then I have installed the Perrin Steering Dampener Lockdown (http://perrinperformance.com/i-22342620-steering-dampener-lockdown.html) and Group-N transmission mount.
