I used the Alpine tweeter mount on mine, to mount the Infinty tweeter of my 2-way components.

That’s a 3rd generation Outback sedan, which is based on the 4th generation Legacy.

It’s that power connection that goes inline with the existing stereo harness that was hacked. Thankfully, he took his time and disconnected all of the sensors so I have mine hooked up and working except the illumination.

Once the new motor is in I'll connect the gauge's and revisit the stereo with a few new bits to make it all work.

I have had the double din option in my 08 LGT and enjoyed the Pioneer pop-up stereo that was in the dash of the SpecB.- but I have enough screens in my life. 

The gauge set isn't what an S402 would come with from factory, but they are from the STI catalog so it's not too far out of bounds for the project..

Do you have the wiring on the gauge pod? The one I purchased had the plug-and-play harness cut and I’ve never been able to get the lighting to work right.

That is what Dolby Pro Logic does. The issue is that there is content recorded in 5.1 (Left, Center, Right, Surround Left, Surround Right, Subwoofer/Low Frequency Effects) but there is no way to play it back through the system so the only content you can play is 2 channel stereo. Proper imaging from 2 speakers should produce a “phantom center channel” so I just don’t get the need.

Is there a Dolby Pro Logic processor somewhere in the mix? I don’t get what comes through the center channel.

Pretty sure that’s only a JDM “Tuned by STi”/S402 OEM part because the rear suspension is completely different than Impreza.

I suppose I could look at other models that have the same knuckles (which I am likely to replace with some Dorman units, becuase half the price.... Or maybe freshen up some scrapyard parts.) but I guess only GTs would have sheilds large enough to accomodate our relatively large rotors...

Ugh.

What about 2004 WRX STi? It has 5x100 pattern and the rotors have to be at least as big, most likely bigger.

$65k for a 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro is a lot.  I’m hoping it helps keep the third gen prices up since I have a 2020.

Aaaamd I thought I could remove the Prova mirror overlay from a donor rear view mirror. I wanted to keep my original rear view mirror mount and not switch to a whole new unit. Even with a blow dryer to heat the adhesive and a trim tool slowly working its way behind it “pop” and were done. (The edges are easy to come off-it’s the giant middle Prova adhesive piece that did me in). So mad at myself-should have installed the whole thing-ah well, next time. Boo. 

if you come across a Prova mirror and it’s attached to a unit-remember this pic. Don’t try and remove it please. 

You probably don’t want to know that the Prova mirror doesn’t perfectly fit the USDM rear view mirror (at least on mine). Also if you have the STi “carbon fiber” cover it will only fit the JDM mirror.

It's JDM so you'd have to store it or find a reason to get a show and display exemption, or a Canadian address.

@DoctorDaveLGT I have a lot of those rear console vent parts, minus the control door but I never got too far down the rabbit hole to figure out what is needed to make them work because it seems like everything needed is for a RHD car. Have you figured out a way to make it work?

Any idea why the PO sold it so quickly? I am the second owner of a 2020 Tacoma with a similar story that I bought in July 2020 with 351 miles. The dealership said they traded it in on a Supra.

My custom mufflers have finally been installed! They're loud but also subtle. I actually hated the look of them at first but it grew on me once I took my hitch off and learned to appreciate the offset tips. I think I'm going to end up adding a resonator, as much as I wanted to avoid cutting in to my Cobb exhaust I think it's just a little too droney for me. I'll decide for sure when I get the rest of the interior installed.
