  1. Nice build.. your underside is so clean though... Mine's all rusted, powder coated rsb mount braces are peeling. yech.
  2. I wonder if the back heater can be swapped for a full size butt heater... Gotta redo my butt heater again as it seems to have failed again.
  3. I had mine taken care of by Subaru Canada twice... once in 2007 and again in 2010. Different dealerships too.
  4. Oh, and Congratulations! We just had our first in May. Should'a done it earlier if we could've..
  5. As I'm 6'4" tall I wanted something that'll give our daughter good protection in a rear facing seat in the LGT wagon, but also in our '14 FXT so that when I'm sitting in the front passenger seat with my wife driving there's still enough room in the rear passenger side for her seat. Of all that we tested, the previous generation Peg Perego SIP 30/30 gave me the most room, followed closely by Chicco Keyfit 30. Everything else wasn't worth looking at. Peg has a new 30/30 bucket seat (introduced in June, a little late for us), it's a little bigger than the older one and seems to be rated a little better too. Fortunately for you 'muricans, the Recaro seats aren't CSA certified up here in Canadaland... they look like awesome seats. PS: buy this book - http://books.google.ca/books/about/Baby_Bargains.html?id=Fqld0r-ewuEC&redir_esc=y Years ahead of Consumer Reports.
  6. I love how much detail you put into your build thread. Makes things easier to follow for the newbs in some of us.
  7. LBS had Ibis Demos on Thursday, took a 29" Ripley for an hour. I want. Going back to a 26" on the same trails doesn't feel as good.. there was also about 8-10 lb difference with the carbon in the Ibis too... but I can't do a $5500 upgrade right now.
  8. Alright, what I did was undo the clamp at the bottom, then attach some silicone tubing so the reservoir wouldn't drain. Process after that was pretty much the same as the PDF documentation.
  9. Dammit, mine looks nothing like that. I have an 05 LGT too. The line you indicate there goes right into the PS reservoir, so there's no clamp to loosen up. If I undo the clamp closest to the reservoir, I expect it to drain right down in by the fender.
  10. Turkeylord - thanks. Ordered. Look forward to getting it. I ordered two as I'm looking to put in a boost gauge.
  11. Hey Turkeylord... your account doesn't accept orders from non-US accounts... do you have options for Canadians? Some people are buying two.. Will one suffice?

  13. I've got a Boxster.. I posted somewhere on the forums if you can't find it I'll see if I can dig up the shot. Probably deep in the :hooked up wagons: thread.
  14. Figure this is a good place to ask people just as OCD as I am - for you veteran Dads (and Moms) out there - What's a good stroller / infant car seat set? Obviously must fit in the back of the wag, and the back when folded. We're looking at getting the gear for our future kiddo.. but we've got 5 months to decide, figure there's no harm doing research early. We looked at some Graco monster stroller today - includes an infant seat, a toddler seat, car mount base, and a wheeled base. Looks cool, very functional but the frame is thin aluminum and hard plastic. Though very light, it doesn't look very strong and durable at all.
  15. I've got two sets.. silver (with spare) for summer on RE760s, black (with spare) for winter on Hakka 7s. So that's two full sets with full size spares.
  16. yeah, but like quoted a few pages back, something like "for a boy, you just have to worry about 1 penis.. if it's a girl you gotta worry about all the other penises." Made me laugh.
  17. here's a better one. http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff385/stfurtfm/2c7b7d8d-ccda-48c8-b1e0-fbe11d3f3ef3_zps5e4454e8.jpg we're gonna let the sex be a surprise. with so few surprises left in life these days we're vowing to try to be patient for the next 7 months or so.. especially as this had to be done with medical experts.
  18. ribbit. looks like a frog, doesn't it? http://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff385/stfurtfm/88cfeb1b-c030-474e-b932-2548d840181a_zpsf051fcbb.jpg
  19. cool, thank you japete01. I do like the extra little bit of cushiness especially with our crappy roads up here.
  20. Crap... might've ordered the wrong winter tyres. Will 215/50-17 rub the struts up front? I run 215/50-17 on the stock snowflakes with no rubbage, but the BBS'ssess's are .5" wider.
  21. Thanks - yeah, they put in two but it's too early to know.. her initial levels indicated a singleton but we don't know for sure until the first ultrasound later this month. If it's two then we're done.. I'm getting old too.. at the rate I'm going I'll have retired and the kid's still living at home.
  22. After trying naturally for spawnlings for the past 5 yrs with no luck, we opted for the fertility clinic. First kid on the way (we hope) $10k later. Dug into the mod budget, but I'm sure it'll all be forgotten when that day comes.
  23. Ohai Mendozer. I had a 1600 originally but it wouldn't fit my XC skis.. the Boxter does however, which is good. I don't remember how much it protruded over my windshield but I recall it wasn't much. I saw a Prius with the Boxter over the weekend.. it was about the same size as the car. So much for fuel efficiencies..
  24. Can you show a pic with the box on top, but from the side? I'd like to see how much front overhang you've got.
