  1. That angle seals the deal, I need a non-USDM rear bumper.
  2. I like the early USDM front compared to the JDM options, but I would love to update to the 08-09 front end. What are you planning to do to yours Johnny?
  3. Slowly starting to care about my wagon again. Kind of fell out of love with it for a while, but I'm coming back around. For those that know my job, know that I get spoiled by what I get to play around with and it makes it tough for me to get excited about my own car sometimes.
  4. Typically the car won't be tuned on the bleeding edge of performance if it's just a straight E85 tune, simply because E85 itself is more of a category of ethanol content fuels than a specific one, meaning that ethanol content can vary from ~60-90% typically. With flex fuel that senses the precise ethanol content in your tank, you don't have to be concerned about it. The DT flex fuel kit hijacks the IAT compensation tables in your ECU to make flex fuel capability work, this effectively prohibits your ECU from accurately adjusting for differences in intake air temp. From my personal experience in trying to find a tuner for this kit, the half dozen reputable tuners in the Chicagoland area that I approached (several of whom are listed on the DT website) told me that they would not touch my car if I had this kit installed. If DT didn't require their tuners and vendors to sign an NDA about their kit then I think we would be able to have a more open and honest discussion. In the meantime, I suspect we will see something new on the market in the near future.
  5. That's great, I'm glad we're hoping for the same thing. Your relentless optimism is always appreciated.
  6. Whole lot of speculation going on here. From my talks with Cobb it IS doable on 05-06, and is on there R&D "to do" list. Best ETA was that it won't be weeks, but it won't be years.
  7. Do you know how the delicious kit is wired in? Jr won't use it because he said it requires speed density and cannibalizes the wiring for the MAF to work.
  8. Happen to be standing next to the head of Cobb customer service this morning on the monorail into SEMA. Gave him a talking to. He promised me it is for sure going to be released before 2020.
  9. I want OEM like drivability. You don't have to check ethanol content on a factory car, and I don't want to on mine. I'm stubborn. I want to be able to pull up, pump my gas, and then let computers figure out the rest. And not having to switch maps if I'm driving long distances and can't find E85 is a big plus.
  10. Between Mike and Junior, I'd trust that opinion.
  11. Not sure what his stance is about, whether its due to function or relationships. He just said he won't use them.
  12. I just called Cobb and left a voicemail to vent/plead that they release it soon.
  13. This has been my conundrum. I want E85 real bad, but only if I can get flex fuel. The Delicious kit states it is for 08+ only (may work on 05+?), and Junior says that he won't use that kit. So I must wait for Cobb to step up, or go stand alone. I'm just going to hold my breath for Cobb. :spin:
  14. The ECU is the hold up on the Cobb kit, not the hard parts. Must be the Delicious kit then.
  15. PAUSE! Flex fuel? What flex fuel? I want it!
  16. Dang. I've put a few thousand on mine this month alone! But only 7k in the last couple years.
  17. It was nice for sure! LSPR is one of my favorites, it's a great backdrop for a rally and the unusually warm and dry weather this year was just a bonus.
  18. Wandered around upper Michigan for LSPR this weekend.
  19. I don't want another one, this turbo is the perfect street turbo! Great spool up and packaging with the stock location housings, I just want it to hit a liiiiittle sooner and pack a bigger punch when it does. Eventually I'll get an EL header, EWG, and E85 to make those goals a reality.
  20. After a week with the new turbo on 93, I'm already thinking I need to build my block and switch to E85. Or I could just throw some 1300s in and see what happens...
  21. I'm absolutely in on this. 2005 LGT 5mt. I've been meaning to call them and harass them about this.
  22. I'll just pretend this morning never happened and keep believing the Dynojet numbers. I suppose the over-under seems correct compared to the KillerB "Spoolinator" w/ gtx3067r, as they were getting 330/350 on a Mustang. Going to enjoy it like this for a while, build an engine, get a "spoolinator" kit, and then go E85 with ID1300s. Then it'll be "done".
