  1. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/head-gaskets-281792.html dgoodhue has rescued a couple LGTs and done head work: https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/dgoodhues-2011-rrp-gt-project-281221.html?t=281221
  2. I’d open the key again and make sure the immobilizer chip is still in there.
  3. So the car passed the oil consumption test? Some on here made sure to witness the dipstick reading at the start of the test to make sure it wasn’t overfilled. Crazy they didn’t fix it for you while it was covered. Anyway, here is the bulletin that lists the cars covered by the oil consumption extended warranty and it indicates the 2014s were also susceptible to the issue, is there a build date for 2014s after which the issue was fixed? https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10120985-9999.pdf
  4. Does the interior backlighting work (HVAC control button lights for example) when the headlight switch is on? Do your parking lights flash when locking/unlocking the car with the remote? With the car off and key out of the ignition, if you open the driver door and turn the headlights on, does the buzzer sound to indicate the lights are left on? Wondering if the headlight switch is bad...
  5. According to this guy the 2014+ mirrors are different than the older ones. https://www.ebay.com/itm/151489329704 Maybe he could make you a harness that will work. My 2011 has the home link mirror and only has three wires. That said I’ve never used the home link so I don’t know if it works.
  6. My 4th gear synchro was a little noisy a while back. A stock fluid change seems to have made it happy. Back when I had my bugeye, it got a little grindy when it got up in miles, a fluid cocktail from AndrewTech quieted it down. https://andrewtechautomotive.com/product/ata-transmission-fluid-cocktail/
  7. Learned about the existence of Honda “rodent tape” watching South Main Auto videos on YouTube. When you patch up the chewed area, add some of this tape to deter future chewing. Doesn’t help the rest of the harness though! https://www.collegehillshonda.com/product/4019-2317.html
  8. Here is a link to the “warranty enhancement” that covers the low beam bulbs for ten years from vehicle in-service date. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10111102-9999.pdf I’d like to know what changed in production in August 2011 to prevent the bulbs from burning out prematurely.
  9. The spring is stretched open when moving the shifter side to side. Here’s a Pic from the bottom when in reverse. See the spring pushed down by that white plastic piece, if the spring isn’t on that white plastic piece the shifter won’t return to center from reverse but it will still return to center from 1st/2nd assuming the top of the spring is still in place as it should be. I could see this small white plastic retainer breaking off and giving the symptoms you are experiencing.
  10. As FLLegacy pointed out, there is one spring the controls the left/right return to center. Those pics are how it should look (minus the debris stuck in the grease). The spring has a rubber sleeve on each end.
  11. Sounds like a great opportunity to swap in a wrx or legacy STS. Pretty sure I’ve got my stock shifter on a shelf in the garage if you need photos of the mechanism.
  12. Glad you got it fixed and within the 10/100k warranty! I recall the 2010-2011 had torque converter issues causing stalling, didn’t know newer models were susceptible. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/vehicle-stalls-out-after-hard-stop-192557.html?t=192557
  13. Here’s a previous thread on this noise: https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/rear-window-noise-cold-tempsi-259047.html
  14. NHTSA finally convinced Tesla to own the the failing screen problem because back up cameras and a working front defroster are safety requirements. Recall coming soon. I’ll be curious to hear the expected life span of the replacements. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a35395201/tesla-model-x-model-s-recalled-screens/
  15. Pressing the tuning knob should get you back to the audio page. Does it still switch to nav after that?
