Umm... great work Detective. I don't think my car or another member's car on this site belongs in a thread titled Teh Rice. Edited because I may have been a little defensive, but thanks for saving it.
Dude, I get it.
You've got talent, for sure --whether that talent lies in the actual execution of the work you've done, or the photography that makes it look good -- it looks good. And I was fully on-board until gauges and stick-on hoodscoop. At this point, it's practically a Ken-doll; looks the part, but there's nothin' in the pants!

I'll rummage. I always forget I'm a forum member on there.
The BBS was my first home. I almost miss it, but, then I remember I drive a nice car and have come up a bit. Still, roots.
I know for a fact that 04-05 STI shit should work -- any reason you can't use that?

There was a thread on NASIOC about these. A tuner said something to the effect of "these were good for a while, but lately, they've been really bad, and I've stopped recommending them", IIRC.
Here's their full line, with PNs, (so you can find them on Amazon instead!) just in case anyone was curious -
-
What do we know about these injectors other then that they are inexpensive? I googled and didn't find any third party info.
I can tell you for a fact that the spray patterns will differ from OEM units, or maybe even other aftermarket applications, in that the ports in the tip are fewer, however, with a matched set, I don't see how this could be an issue.
-
Fancy.
I just used electrical tape over the old stuff, which, is essentially cheap electrical tape. There are colors to choose from, as well!
-
Yes, sorry none of it is legal in your nanny state.
Actually I'm not sorry. You fuckers did it to yourselves.
You know I don't live in California, right?

Shit, I think I'd rather buy 'em in Canadia -- $26/ea from Heuberger!

Is this DOTD only things that go boom?

Talked to Mike at Infamous Yesterday and I want to give a HUGE shout out to him. He answered all my questions. Took his time helping me and not once rushed me. I've also ordered 80% of my parts from him and even annoy the hell out of him for that Ven Air bpv hose. He goes out of his way to help you. Just wanted to thank him publicly and would recommend him to anyone.
He really is awesome.

I checked it over repeatedly. Especially after I found that cam gear all mangled up.
but heres some reviews on it. I wanna at least try them out. Not doubting your expertise, just going with what I see. I'll take some pics when I get to the shop.

FWIW, I see those on the floor consistently when I'm at PIA (my local shop) on the weekends. They goto the scrap dumpster.
There's a reason so many of us don't have headers, the least of which is the cost-benefit and high price of admission. Good headers are about $800 to start. The KB HHs are nearly 2x that.
-
Switch back to the stock headers and throw those cheap ones away. Doesn't matter what brand, I can tell from the welds on those, they're garbage.

try n change the ocv valves
This is the most epic response I've ever seen.

How did it shear off? If there is even a slight edge in the center of that bolt, you should be able to reach in with an appropriately small flat screwdriver and just turn it out. There's no tension on it, so, don't freak out, yet.
-
So those bushings and gears are in the diff? But the bushings wear out and need to be replaced?
I to shall wait for the right up. Lol
I have no idea what any of that for, or what problem that it fixes even. Lol
I have yet to research driveline problems
They're equivalent to the Hexmods Center Diff bushings, which, only kinda-saves your center diff when (attempting to) launching.

Hooray! They didn't drop it off the back of the truck, right? Box and wooden feet didn't look damaged? The pressboard in the box didn't have a huge, crank-snout-shaped hole in it?

can i get my build thread moved over there? Resurrect subie wan Kenobi
Sure can! Got your OP, click Thread Tools and then Move Thread.

I'm misunderstanding I hope? Why do the plugs need to come out?
And is RTV Ultra Copper really not good for oil surfaces? Their site claims it is:
"Three times more oil resistant than conventional silicones;"
"Suggested Applications: Exhaust manifolds/headers, valve covers, oil pans, timing covers, water pumps, thermostat housings"
No! UltraBlack or do it twice. Seriously, there's no other alternative.

Wow. Thanks, man!

Thanks Namen. The shop is nice to have instead of bumping into crap in a garage. plus I can make stuff here. like the QD tool and bushing! I enjoyed your edit on the shopping list! lol I really needed to look at it today when ordering my Shorty:spin:
There is a version 2.0, the link in my sig is upated..
What'd you do to your FIRST Gen. Subaru today?

While I do like my pretty girl now, I do miss my 1st gen. I don't see too many of the baby blue ones anymore, and certainly not sedans. I know for a fact it would have been nice to have another, reliable car to come home to, but, I made my (poor) choice. . .
