  1. ^ used an arduino with 2 can shields to intercept the can signal for steering wheel angle, apply a correction factor as the can output to vdc. 2. Regarding wet sump ej oil control, a homegrown (USA) solution might be the ArcTangent Design oil control plate. http://arctangentdesign.com I love the Belmit squirter assy, I was also inspired by this sump spacer/baffle kit for Porsche. http://www.pedrosgarage.com/Site_2/TechnoSump.html Something similar could be done for ej’s for extra oil capacity...
  3. Using the phone to make a screen shot of a phone pic is quick size compression trick.
  4. One possible google answer was to check continuity/signal/volts for cam and crank position sensors...
  5. Jack the front end and spray some quality lube on the exposed shock, inside the shock boots. http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=11589&start=135#p442569 Source^
  6. How much oil? Mines at a cup to two cups per tank... Aka functionally broken... Also looking forward to installing the spare long block;)
  7. A 114.3 converted gen4 went up for sale in aus recently, the owner had the rear hub/bearing unit modified by an engineering workshop at the bearing interface eg gen4 inner mount, Sti outer. I’ll try dig up the post on FB...
  8. You'd consider a rebuild kit inc all the internal seals and obviously the boot plus inner and outer tie rods. Looks burnt
  9. Scored another solid uni from an ADM low k my07 V9 STi, indeed 2 pink bands on the shaft I found the part on opposed forces, #2 34170FE040 here: http://opposedforces.com/parts/impreza/en_g11/type_42/steering/power_steering_gear_box/illustration_10/ Clicking useage info confirms it's MY01+ compatible, eg any tabbed mount rack.
  10. Defo log your (quad?) avcs vvt angles, eg a minute at 1500-1700rpm whilst stationary in gear, clutch in; and freeway cruise. Easy fixes if they're out of sync at those rpms
  11. Awesome! I re-re-reread the thread, but what did you use to cover the headliner and sunblind pieces? I'm deciding on reusing the non sunroof fabric, brushed black fabric or an oe charcoal alcantara... Did you wrap the blind handle? Looks carbon like For my convo, I'm using a prefl adm tbSTi non sunroof wagon interior to postfl sunroof gt spec b. Hopefully all I'll need will be to dye or wrap my headliner and blind, and the my12+ sti sunroof switch with the seatbelt led mod. Re the latter, how did you get such clean cuts for the led convo? Dremel???
  12. Ime, jdm/eudm, the changeover in terms of spline count, is the GC rack. So 03+ to be safe. :edit: see below... Iirc the one I installed in my bp/bl/gr has a pink band on the shaft, bought via yahoo.jp natch.
  13. Here's the car I'm referring to: http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=34818, more pics here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskXSPF4z
  14. Also, a 6mt satin white pearl tbsti wagon is regarded as THE unicorn down here. Goals XD
  15. Afaik it's a damper tune to suit the rest of the handling upgrades (and a pretty sticker), he's pretty happy with it as a daily. The braces etc are similar to the tbsti flexible tower brace, improving feel w/o adding too much rigidity as per eg cusco braces. There's also the tbsti pirro rear lateral arms, make sure you get the supplied specific washers Regarding your (rear) seat, adm prefl tbsti and blitzen seats had red stitch w/ grey perf alcantara inserts, postfl had iirc lighter or darker grey alcantara and sti embroidered front seats, rear seat w/ fold out cup holder armrest. The door trims had the alcantara and the silver trims in dark metallic grey extending to the spears across the dash & centre console. My interior conversion to postfl tbsti will be set off with prova d wheel, my10+ sti dark grey horn pad (swap out the charge) and black swc's. Just need the VA dccd to complete the dream, and that sunroof switch XD.
  16. Love it, speechless Thanks for the Wrx sti black sunroof switch tip: *exactly* what I need ror my adm pre/postfacelift tbsti into postfl BP gtb. Iirc add an adjustable fpr, pump, and the stock injectors are ok on a conservative e85 tune. Also gotitrex has os fft via rear o2 sensor.... tempting. Have you considered the entire s402 handling upgrade kit? My OCD buddy dropped the lot on his my08 tbsti wag. Albeit w/ bee r TI springs
  17. And here: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/sound-inside-dash-turn-off-car-190728.html?t=190728
  18. In a pinch u can bend the contacts so they get fresh tracks to run on...
  19. Did the rear lateral "pirro" arms come with washers? If not make sure you get the right ones or the ball joints will flog out
  20. Check out Andrew Brilliant's lip & wing low drag/hi downforce 86 aero on Speedhunters for extra inspiration... http://www.speedhunters.com/2017/01/hks-gts800-the-tsukuba-record-challenger/
  21. I'm on similar spec rims @ 18 8.5 +35 w/ Shockworks coilovers, I positioned the camber tops all the way inward to correct the roll centre/kingpin axis somewhat and retained stockish camber via the stock camber adjuster bolt on the knuckle/lower shock mount. That and the AVO caster adjust LCA bushes gives great handling with 235 40 r18 s001's I have finger gap tyre to guard ride height with guards rolled up n out... This setup paves the way for 18 9.5 + 40 or wider, a spec that's getting popular down under
