  1. Awesome, the only downside I can see is that ATI is a service item vs Fluidampr being lifetime. On a side note, do any of your cars run the cylinder 4 cooling mod?
  2. I looked up gilmer pullies online and I think running a drive pulley on the Fluidampr for the scavenging stage could be possible with a low profile machined adapter. Eg a 24 tooth drive pulley to 36 on the pump. The adapters damper face might have a concentric chamfered “key” to centre it on the inner barrel of the Fluidampr, with the adapter flange being drilled for the three fixing holes on the face of the Fluidampr. The outer face of the adapter might have a mounting boss aka stubby shaft extension with key way to mount the gilmer drive pulley. The mount flange of the adapter might be only around 5mm thick, allowing for a low profile setup. If you get one made, I’ll buy one too
  3. EJ Fluidampr has 3 holes at the front of the damper for a smaller eg gilmer drive pulley. Can you bring the pump forward on its bracket to suit a front pulley?
  4. Iirc the Blue Saki Bomber Sti is a hybrid wet/dry sump setup: all the potential configurations are on the Aviaid website.
  5. Hands down the most interesting post I’ve seen anywhere recently. Food for thought but I’ll have to dig up the previous oil system development posts here first for context. I’m sure I’ve seen active heads scavenging before, but the application used, iirc, an oil pump similar to what’s used to return oil from a low mount turbo drain pan: this one addresses blow-by and oil surge (in the heads) and crankcase. Kudos!
  6. Chasing this issue for a buddy, Blackbeard was it this plug that caused the tach issue?
  7. Maybe the good ole burnt pins in the pump/sender plug on the top of the pump basket assy. There was a recall for certain Libertys locally, but I’ve witnessed the issue on all models... Better check mine, again - again
  8. Do you have more specifics related to the loom issue? I’ve written an faq post here: http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=36481 That’s mainly oil leak related, but when I fixed a bank 1 cam sensor oring leak, the loom for bank2 cam sensor failed causing CELs. Testing has revealed continuity is ok but resistance on E35 #2 is a fail. I think I’ve tracked the fault point to the last branch on the loom for that sensor... will replace that wire section and re insulate the loom xxx. But no oil in the loom at least
  9. That diy is next level! Or use Whiteline RCA kit tie rod ends with thinner or shaved jam nuts.
  10. 5mt cooling mods noted for proposed lotus 23b build with a 10k rpm itb nismo SR
  11. I read a post somewhere mentioning that no trimming of the inner tie rod ends (but use a thinner jam nut) is required when using the Whiteline RCA kit tie rods, in narrow body cars.
  12. Btssm is made for this purpose. Ssm logging and Learning View. Virtual gauges... Inexpensive with a vagcom over otg... https://www.google.com.au/search?q=btssm&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari
  13. Posted to spec b club fb group in yet another lift my B post Awesome work! Great feedback. Btw 2-4” complete lift kits are available from subieliftoz and can be installed in a day on either stock springs or lifted springs: camber, caster and wheel centre corrected Great value too!

  15. Which AEM wbo2 is it? The type of output options may influence your choice of logging it. Also the type of logger, eg tactrix, Btssm etc. I forgot to mention another option is the 2.5mm socket on a tactrix which accepts 0-5v input when used in standalone logging mode.
  16. Use the rear o2 loom, heaps of info online. Or go mafless and use that loom but seperate from the iat sensor. Or use a serial to USB converter and use it as an external sensor in Romraider or via custom pid in Btssm. Iirc a phidgets I/o box can do similar with 0-5v sensor outputs. I’m not sure about the egt option, I’ll have to look it up
  17. Cripes! The HVAC door blend actuators can be accessed via the passenger footwell on RHD cars... Even then lying down face up in the footwell is a good idea for access. Is that a possible alternative (to taking out the dash) for LHD cars?
  18. That’s excellent crank case vacuum! From where is the vacuum pulled; and are you using a vacuum relief valve?
  19. Btssm dump: Btssm summary: Virtual gauges, logging and Learning View, using Subaru Select Monitor (SSM) OBDII protocol on any Android device with OTG*. Btssm app from playstore, Aussie eBay vendor clear blue case usb A plug VagCom, *Any Android device with OTG, (use the “OTG?” app from playstore to check your device) eBay OTG to usb A female adapter if/as required for your android device. Use this guide, the Btssm online manual and other related FAQ’s to get started. http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=20196&start=0 There may be issues with certain brand new devices running the latest android version, best check the lgt Btssm thread v2 for updates regarding. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/btssm-bluetooth-adapter-app-v-2-267811.html?p=5892434#post5892434 Otherwise, the app works well on even ancient Android devices and Android versions eg Samsung SGSi900 for example. Of course Btssm also works with BT connection using specific BT OBDII plugs as discussed on the Btssm website: http://www.btssm.com. ...
  20. That’s great! How’d you find the correct diagnosis? Rough guess: logging avcs vvt angles, total timing etc?
  21. My bet is avcs solenoids. Log the vvt angles with Romraider or Btssm
  22. http://forum.liberty.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=34980 Have a read, get back if anything is opaque re the parts process. Basically use your VIN on the appropriate site, then search the parts. I opened my faulty actuator and regreased it, nudged the wipers to new track. The fault did return but due to the door tab needing to be reseated in the actuator cam (or vice versa). The FSM should have details on hvac self test as well, if a haptic/visual/auditory test doesn’t suffice once the trim is removed. Rough guess: Mix adjusts temperature Intake adjusts fresh air or recirc Mode adjusts which vent combinations
