  1. It's can be the STi diff, but requires Spec.B rear axles. Sent from a handheld device that can access the aggregate of human knowledge, but that I generally use to buy car parts and watch videos of people hurting themselves
  2. OK, I'm joining the club. I ordered my parts from Frank at Millenium today. 2011 STi 6MT, clutch, WRX rear differential, and since he doesn't have a driveshaft he's sending the WRX driveshaft flange to plunk onto my driveshaft.
  3. I do, but I'm positive it's something else... you've convinced me to start a thread here.
  4. Literally. That's what's making me nervous, is the sound of my 5MT. Performance is fine. I'm only brushing the surface so far in this thread & not entirely familiar with what the DCCDPro is for (that's not a question, I'll do my research)! I owned an '04 STi & I'm familiar with the DCCD, just not what would be involved with the swap.
  5. PM'd him. I'm not sure I have time to start a thread about it, but I may need a transmission anyway...
  6. If this happens again, I have a spare accelerator pedal assembly that I'd be willing to lend out... that means, I'll send it to you on your dime, and if it works, just send mine or a functional one back. I'd prefer to see a reasonable iTrader feedback rating before shipping, though.
  7. Agreed. From one of my favorite folk artists (and, unfortunately, rumored batterer): "They said I would shine like the light in city; I hoped it would be like the moon on the sea."

  9. I'm bumping this & subscribing, because I'm looking at a VF52 install shortly. I was looking for info on priming the new (to me) turbo, and found that pulling the ignition fuse & cranking for several 10-second intervals is the generally-accepted method (please correct me if I'm wrong). The ignition fuse is #11...?
  10. Haha... are those Superleggeras... and were they actually stolen?!? I got mine wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sports for a song off of NASIOC. Solid seller, though, no doubts about their origin. I wouldn't have gone gold as a first choice, but if nothing else I've removed any doubt that I'm driving a Subie.
  11. Yup. The Thule bars... wait, now I'm doubting myself... The recommended bars are 53". I went with 47" bars, which fit well with very, very little overhang. The fairing is 44". I edited my post above. Sorry for the wrong info.
  12. I would love to see this. That would probably sell me. If I went with the left vent & then a center vent came out, I'd be butthurt.
  13. I guess my only worry about buying is that a new hardware revision would be released with cool features that I couldn't get without replacing hardware. I say that mainly because I've been watching this thread for a while, and this gauge set seems to have come a long way!
  14. Bumping this thread for success... I don't know why I couldn't find this thread earlier. I removed blue/black wire on my '09 & the DRLs went bye-bye... thanks.
  15. I think it's sexy. I've been subscribing to this thread for an eventual/possible purchase. While I personally don't have any CANBus-type parameters that I would NEED displayed, it would be a cool option to have. EDIT: I don't know if this is of value to anyone else, but maintaining a reset-able run time clock might be cool. I'm not suggesting writing a run time to the ECU, but simply having a "lap" function where the meter can be set to 0 at any time and increment from there.

  18. Just put the fairing on. It's pouring out, so... http://i.imgur.com/NdOZal.jpg I went with the 47" Aero bars, despite the fact that 52" is recommended. There's juuuuust enough overhang. 52" would have been too much. http://i.imgur.com/Ai0Yfl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/0fIMql.jpg
