Have you measured the tread on your tires yet? 45k is pretty up there, but I wonder what your actual tread wear is actually at.
Haven't measured the tread, but since 1 has a hole in the sidewall, I either need to find someplace to (significantly) shave a tire down (to match 45k miles on other tires), or just get 4 new ones. I'm leaning towards 4 new ones, which will give me a reasonable one to use as my full sized spare, and 2 others to either sell, or hang on to for use in the future.
What kind of tires do you run I saved two decent tires when I changed mine. Might have a close tread depth if tires are the same. They are Bridgestone 970AS Pole Positions. What do you have, and what's the approx miles on them? Thanks!

This is probably me. Black taillights and such?
Could be... didn't get a good look at the taillights... fully debadged (I think) and larger aftermarket exhaust pipes. You were in the far left lane, I was in far right lane after just merging onto 93N in Medford.

National Tire and Battery website is quoting me $907.92 for all 4 tires installed. That's the best price I've found by about $100. Checking with my local store to see if they can get them, will ask about the $70 MIR when they confirm. Damn, this is turning into an expensive day!

Got a slow leak in the sidewall of one of my tires... with 45k miles on all 4, guess I need to replace them all. Anyone heard of any good deals on tires... maybe a buy 3 get 1 free? Gonna be buying Michelin Pilot SS in 225/45/18.

Saw a great looking black OBXT on 93N in Medford around 8am this morning. Aftermarket exhaust, maybe other stuff but I was a few lanes over stuck in traffic and couldn't catch up. Driver was rocking a solid beard as well.

Actually once you're arrested I'll just take it.
Did they make a law against having totally sweet and awesome cars?! If so, then I might be in trouble... But at least you 4th Gen guys are safe!
-
Always so helpful Sigma! But no, you can't have my car. I know how much you're in love with it, but seriously... stop trying to get me to sell it to you. This whole teasing the girl on the playground routine cause you've got a crush on her is SO transparent.

oh there was a reaction. she reached into her purse to grab her rape alarm.
Easy there... let's not turn this rape into a murder...
Take it easy buddy. I know my car looks super manly compared to yours, but that doesn't mean the driver isn't a total gentleman!

Female driven dark blue (I think, it was kinda dark) 4th Gen GT on Storrow Drive yesterday around 645pm. Blipped the throttle as I went past, but didn't see any reaction... Likely not a member, given we don't get many ladies up in here, but figured it's worth a shot anyway. Car looked good!

Black 5th Gen with red grill badge on Low Street in Newburyport around 5:00.
Yup, that's me! Saw you too, thanks for the wave and good looking wagon! Haven't seen you around the area before, I've been working in Newburyport for the last 14 months or so. Usually I'm headed down 93S around that time, but yesterday was going North to get to 495 to avoid some traffic. You local?

Basically the vast gravitational pull given by its huuuuuuuuge mass pulled in all sound.
Well well well... somebody finally gets his wheels on the road, and turns into a damn comedian?! Glad to have you back, bro... now STFU.
-
Pfoyle's ride? No no no... Not possible. Must have been another 4th gen you heard but didn't see because of the svelte dimensions, or you simply mistook the sound of your own car.
Let's be honest, if you're on the road next to me, it's unlikely you're hearing anything except my exhaust! Not sure if it sounds "amazing" or not, but it definitely sounds LOUD! Gonna have to work on that one of these days... I keep saying my next "mod" will be a vibrant resonator... and then I keep finding other, funner, things to do instead!

Saw a ABP (?) 4th Gen Leggy (maybe LGT, couldn't tell in the dark) on 95S/128S on Friday night around 10/1030. Not sure if you saw me wave back, but I did. Good looking ride.

Yup, (knock on wood) my CM300 has been great since day one... think I've got about 15-20k miles on it...
-
Haha yup definately me man! Your car looked and sounded great, those 5th gens are real mean looking in the rear view lol Love the pink badge too!
Pink?! Awww, c'mon man, don't give these haters any more ammo! Red L7 badges... to match the Brembos going on in the spring! Your's looked real nice too, but couldn't hear it over my Invidia and the Hip Hop BBQ from Pandora!

I think so, though I was a bit blurry eyed having driven for ~5hrs already that day! If you waved to a black 5th Gen GT (my girl was in the passenger seat, laughing at us ) as I travelled in the HOV lane, then it was def you! I threw up deuces, you gave a thumbs up.

Exchanged waves with a tastefully modded 4th Gen GT on 84 East North/East of Hartford yesterday evening around 6:30pm (+/- 1 hour). Aftermarket exhaust, Cobb tuning license plate frame, A-pillar gauges. Car looked great!
Caught the eye of a very clean black 4th Gen 2.5i on 93N this morning around 7:45am. JDM rear wing, but mostly stock-looking besides that... don't think it was AAC, but I've been wrong before. Car looked shiny and well cared for!

spotted a red GT sedan on 28 this morning, we both waved but I had to change lanes into the right lane because you were about to t bone me, dick.

My HP+s squeal like crazy too... only at low speeds though, when everyone around can hear! Swapping back to my HPSs this weekend.
Is there any special work involved with swapping rear pads? I know fronts are straightforward, but is there a problem/extra work needed with the rears because of e-brake or anything?
-
Exchanged thumbs ups with a Steel Silver Metallic 5th Gen GT on 93N near 95 interchange around 8:15am this morning. Blipped the throttle to say "hi" as I rolled past, then slowed down to let you catch up. Car looked nice and clean, mostly stockish I think. Haven't seen this one around before... anyone here?
-
Really? well save your self the trip he said he'd meet me half way when I asked him to.
Ha ha, I was just kidding about taking the link down... I think he and I have an agreement, so should be ok.
Wish I'd known about meeting 1/2 way earlier! Doesn't really matter though, I'm gonna be in southern VT this weekend anyway, so only about an hour from Albany where he is, so I'll just make the quick trek over there... he gave me a bit of a discount for doing the driving too, so there's that.

Set of Brembos I was looking at but decided not to get, still seems like a good deal http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/tri-state-local-sale-only/134430345-fs-08-sti-brembos-rotors.html
HEY! Take this link down now! Been emailing back and forth with this guy... We have a verbal/written agreement so I think I'm taking a drive to Albany this weekend to pick these up! Glad you didn't get them!

So I know it's known that brakes from '08+ WRX/STi are direct bolt-ons for our cars... but has anybody confirmed this to be true for the new generation of WRX/STi? 2015s especially? Thanks!
